About this property

Romantic villa - free beach club access - own pool

Indesun is a private townhouse situated in a lovely and quiet gated community in St James, close to Holetown and only a few minutes walk from the best beaches. We offer free beach club access to Fairmont Royal Pavilion (a few minutes walk).

We have recently refurbished our house to provide a relaxing, luxurious, and romantic home with a private plunge pool. There are also a tennis court and a bigger community pool just a few meters away from the house within the gated community.

It is an open plan lounge, dining, and kitchen area, with twin sets of doors to the outside dining area, sitting area, private plunge pool, and sun loungers.

There is a WC downstairs, and an under stairs cupboard with 4 portable loungers, and 2 chairs, sun brolly, ‘boogie boards’, and numerous children’s swim accessories for your use.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine (bring your favourite pods!), kettle, toaster, ‘nutri bullitt’ type food blender, fridge/freezer, with ice maker, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer. As this is our home from home, we have a well equipped kitchen for you to cook anything you may desire.

The Master bedroom has a (UK) king size four poster bed, wardrobes and chest of drawers, the on-suite bathroom has two sinks, a large shower and hairdryer.

The second bedroom features two single beds which can be pushed together to make a Super king size bed, and fitted wardrobes. The Bathroom comprises of a walk in shower, single sink, with large marble sink top, and hairdryer.

Bath towels, hand towels, and beach towels are provided, as well as shampoo and conditioner. We also supply bathrobes and other little bits and bobs you will enjoy for that lovely feeling of luxury.

Outside we have installed a shower by the pool and a "foot shower" at the front to rinse off sand from the beach. We also have a barbeque and candles for the evenings you just want to stay put and relax.

The house is cleaned weekly, as is the private pool.

Our villa manager Marcia is on hand for you during your entire stay.

Great location, lovely home

We had an amazing stay in the villa and Barbados. Beach club passes for the nearby Fairmont Beach Club were great and the club is a short walk away. The villa is in a great location in Holetown and it's possible to walk or use the Reggae Bus to get to a number of nearby beaches, restaurants, bars and a large supermarket. The plunge pool in the back garden was good for a quick dip and the larger shared pool in the compound was great for more of a swim. The villa is very well equipped, clean and well maintained and both owner and property manager were easily contacted to arrange checkin/checkout, taxi from airport, etc. Would definitely stay again!

Great villa in nice community

Indesun is a lovely villa in very good shape with lots of nice amenities including a Nespresso coffee maker, a plunge pool, a lovely outdoor patio with love seats, and passes to the beach club at the Fairmont hotel just down the road. Scott, the owner, is a great communicator and responds quickly. Several restaurants and bars are within walking distance as well as a French bakery and small grocer. The nearest beach can be accessed within 5 minutes by walking down the road and through a path to the Beach. We will certainly consider Indesun again for a future stay.

Wonderful vacation

We just returned from two weeks in Barbados and had a lovely vacation while staying at Indesun! The townhouse is as described with a well-appointed kitchen, spacious bathrooms, comfortable beds and a beautiful patio and plunge pool to enjoy when not at the beach/sightseeing. The property has been well-maintained with many extra amenities provided for guests. Scott and Marcia were extremely responsive and communicated very well with us before and throughout our stay. Scott provided many additional details upon booking to augment the information on the VRBO site. We did experience a few concerns at check-in, but they were sorted promptly by Marcia, with attentive follow-up afterwards. The property is short walking distance to Alleynes Bay, with the Fairmont Beach Club access a definite bonus. Holetown is also within walking distance (or quick bus ride) providing easy access to groceries, restaurants and shopping for those without rental vehicles. Wonderful bakery (La Baguette) and small grocery store a quick walk from the townhouse. There is construction going on across from the entrance to Porter's Gate, but we didn't notice any disruption while on the property and the construction workers were always pleasant and friendly as you passed by. If you are looking for a charming and comfortable property close to the beach and other amenities, Indesun will suit you well!

My name is Scott Owen. I live in North Wales and am a semi-retired funeral director. Along with my partner Hanne, I love spending time in Barbados. Properties in the tropics require a lot of maintenance and care. When we are not there to do it ourselves, we have a great house manager, Marcia Mercer from Elegant Bajan Rentals. She is always on hand to assist our guests in every way she can.

Why they chose this property

We have stayed at the gated community Porters Gate for many years and loved the cosy neighbourhood which is a mix of permanent residents, house owners and holiday guests. We all know each other and enjoy spending time together. The townhouses are spacious and the location is one of the best in Barbados. When no. 17 came up for sale, we knew straight away this was the right house for us. We absolutely love it.

What makes this property unique

Our house was never purchased just to be a rental property. We regard Indesun as our second home with all the features and amenities we enjoy ourselves. We are renting out our home with all the benefits to our guests. We aim to surprise our guests with little delights which they would normally not get when renting a holiday home. The feedback has been excellent. Our guests give it 5 stars.
