It is a 10-minute walk from the banks of the Óbidos Lagoon with pedestrian and bicycle paths around the Lagoon. Surrounded by 4 golf courses, world-class are: Royal Óbidos, Praia Del Rey, and Bom Sucesso Resort and West Clifs recently opened. Many restaurants and beaches to relax and surf the strong waves of the Atlantic.

It is 15 Kms from the Medieval village of Óbidos and the entire West Coast: Nazaré, S. Martinho do Porto, Foz do Arelho, Peniche, Baleal, Berlengas Islands. It is 1 hour from Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais. It is close to the Budha Eden park with its Buddhas and replicas of the Chinese army. Óbidos with its castle, churches, handicrafts, restaurants and many events always happening. It is 15 minutes from Caldas da Rainha with its daily market in the center of the village and 1 hour from Alcobaça with its imposing monastery. Near the house and next to the Lagoon are cafes, restaurants and a small grocery store. The large supermarkets are located in Óbidos, Peniche or Caldas da Rainha.

Beautiful pool area and comfortable villa

We really enjoyed our stay in this large and comfortable villa. The kitchen was stocked with every possible utensil (although a little too well stocked - this is clearly a family home). The beds were comfortable but it was strange to find the owners' clothes in the wardrobes! A little short on tops to put things on in the bedrooms but the shutters meant we could keep the rooms at a cool temperature. The bathrooms were very well appointed. We had a great time in the pool area and the barbecue was great!

Perfect location , charming with most wonderful amenities

Located in charming, beautiful neighborhood, less than 10 minute walk to the most perfect beach location. The beach was never too busy, the lagoon was crystal clear , the views were outstanding . The town had a few very good cafes with some live music on the weekend . The house was perfect for our family of four. We each had a private room, outdoor living space was the best we have ever had in a vacation rental property. There was an outdoor kitchen, a beautiful cover dining room area to enjoy our family meals. The kitchen was outfitted with every possible thing you could need to prepare family meals . We traveled from the United States, and it was very good for us to have our meals at home rather than go out every night. It provided a true family experience and it was much more cost efficient. The fact that the home was outfitted as perfectly as it was was a pleasant surprise. The owner and the neighbors were wonderful to deal with. The house was actually so good, that we thought about possibly purchasing it as an investment. If we had still lived in Europe, we would have negotiated to purchase it. I highly recommend staying here and if you are in the market to own a vacation home , to buy it !

Spacious and very well maintained villa

We have stayed in Amelia's house for one week and it has been a great experience. The villa is based in shady part of the Bom Suceso village, which makes it a very comfortable place to be at during hot sunny days. You could walk to the beach, but we used car mainly because we wanted to stay at the lagoon but close to the ocean. The fantastic pool and the garden was the starting and ending point for our kids each and every day. A large dining tables both inside the house and at the barbecue area outside was the place where whole family could meet in comfort for breaks and dinner. There not many restaurants in the area, so we preferred to cook ourselves which was easy given the perfectly equipped kitchen and food we brought regularly from the market in Caldas da Rainha. The two master bedrooms are fitted with comfortable beds. The other two sleeping rooms are ok for kids, but could be observed as quite small for adults (despite one of them has en-suite bathroom). The house was perfectly clean and prepared by the owner who welcomed us personally at very late hours. We have appreciated a lot, that everything in the house is at guests disposal, no locked rooms or cabinets. This helps to make one feel like staying at home. It has been our third holidays in Portugal. We are still amazed by beauty and friendlines of this country. So we were by the house and great host Amelia. Thank you!

Tolles Haus in ruhiger Gegend

Das Ferienhaus ist ganz toll, sehr geräumig mit viel Platz für 8 Leute. Der Garten ist sehr groß, auf einer Seite des Hauses liegt der (recht große) Pool, auf der anderen eine Wiese. Das Haus ist sehr sauber, in der Küche ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig. Zur Lagune mit Strand braucht man ca. 10 Minuten bergab zu Fuß, dort gibt es auch einen kleinen Supermarkt, zu größeren Supermärkten braucht man ein Auto. Die Gegend ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Bei allen Fragen hat uns Olga quasi sofort geantwortet und wenn wir Unterstützung brauchten, hat auch alles sehr schnell funktioniert. Olga ist wahnsinnig nett und hilfsbereit. Wir (2 Familien mit je 2 Kindern) haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Das Haus war genauso wie wir es uns vorgestellt hatten. In guter Lage zum Strand und zur Lagune, bestens ausgestattet, gemütlich und sehr sauber. Durch den Pool und die wunderbare Grillecke haben wir uns vorwiegend draußen aufgehalten und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

A lovely week in a nice house

We, a family of 7 persons, had a very comfortable stay in the villa. One room was more renovated and extended, with a bathroom, than expected which was very nice. We arrived very late and Olga meet us and also supplied some food for us, thank you very much! We had dinners at home and it was easy to cook with most utensils present. The ones I missed, which might be because of different ways of cooking, a strainer and garlic press you can probably find at IKEA. It was nice to have a pool especially with our 2-year old. But we could have used some sort of net to clean the water surface towards the end of the week. We had a lovely time and we will definitely return to Portugal and Óbidos!

Beautiful villa

We had such a lovely time at this villa and really missed it when we got home! The children were in the pool every day and we had bbqs outside (love that outside area) The villa is in a beautiful area. We loved the beaches and Obidos town was so pretty. Olga was really helpful, answering all questions beforehand really quickly. Thanks so much, we’ll definitely recommend to friends!

Lovely property in a beautiful, quiet location

We stayed with two families with 4 children and found the villa to be an excellent base for exploring the area. The pool is lovely and kept the children entertained for hours. Overall the outside of the property is excellent with a great outdoor kitchen and bbq. Inside was a bit of a squeeze for eight of us as there were only two bathrooms and two of the bedrooms are quite small. The villa is really close to the lagoon and an excellent beach directly onto the Atlantic with awesome waves. Obidos is an easy drive but be warned it get very busy in summer. I would highly recommend the property to anyway wanting to stay in a quieter part of Portugal by the sea.

Wonderful property

We loved our stay here. Everything immaculately clean and they had literally thought of everything - sun hats, sunglasses, lots of towels, toiletries, hairdryer. The kitchen was the best equipped I have ever seen in a rental house. We spent most of our evenings in the fantastic barbecue area. The pool area was also really well maintained. Restaurants, bar and the beach are a 10 minute walk away and we loved the lagoon. Super safe for our children to play in, whilst the dramatic atlantic ocean was right next to it. The pictures don't do the house justice. The layout is admittedly slightly odd, with 2 double bedrooms either side of the living room, another bunk bed room opposite the kitchen which only has an internal window, then an ensuite single room at the end of the house next to the dining room, but it all worked fine for us. We would return to this house for sure. A real gem.

Villa très confortable dans un coin tranquille.

La villa est très bien agencé, elle possède tout l'équipement (sauf internet). Il y a un coin d'ombre très apprécié juste devant la piscine (visible sur les photos). La maison se trouve dans un lieu calme et pas loin de la mer. Les propriétaires sont arrangeant. On a passé un très bon moment dans cette villa.

Maison à l'écart d'obidos (15 kms) mais très bien équipée,dans un secteur calme, terrase sympa pour prendre les repas, bien abritée. Seul point à améliorer, pas de wifi. location super, nous la conseillons vivement
