We arrived at the villa, at the allotted time approx 16.00, but were unable to access the villa. We had not had any contact from the host to provide the entry code. We tried emailing and phoning the host but didn't get a response. We contacted VRBO/Expedia and they were also unable to make contact with the host. Our 80 year old disabled mother was getting somewhat distressed, very hot and uncomfortable .Expedia were excellent, they booked a hotel for the evening and were going to refund in full and cover any additional cost of alternative accommodation for the remainder of our stay. The host sent the entry code over an hour later, just as we were about to leave for our alternative booking. She apologised in her text and said that she had been unwell, I hope that she has recovered and that subsequent guests have not shared our experience. On entering the villa,first impressions were that it was clean, tidy and well equipped. We eventually found the wi - fi router in a cupboard and had to put the fuse switch down to use the air conditioning. The swimming pool and garden area were not well maintained.We have stayed on this development for many years in other properties and never had any issues. Not having use of a swimming pool and untidy garden was very disappointing. The issues we had on our arrival really spoilt the first few days of our holiday. The host promised to visit to apologise in person but never did.

Unfortunatelly, some people make small incidents become big situations. Sometimes, some involontary incidents happen and no one is protected from this. The host had effectively a big issue at caroline's arrival and apologise YES for delay in sending the code. THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN all the time hopefully. Regarding garden and pool it is the first time we are hearing that. When there is a problem with any kind of problem we intervain right away so if Caroline would had say something when there, she would had nothing to say now....... We call her after entrance into the property other times and as per her comments , everything was ok so caroline needs to know what she is claiming for. The delay in sending the code was true but justified and regarding pool and garden , we were there just before her arrival and everything was OK. So, yes we already apologise right away to caroline and do it again regarding waiting but for all other comments just forget it......

A nossa estadia na Villa Lou foi excelente. A casa estava completamente equipada e as divisões são bastante espaçosas. Cada quarto tem a sua casa de banho, a cozinha tem tudo o necessário e a parte do jardim e piscina também são excepcionais a Silvia também esteve sempre disponível quando precisamos Adoramos a nossa estadia e recomendamos
