On the Bom Sucesso estate stands a cluster of traditional Portuguese houses with views to the sparkling waters of Obidos lagoon.



Less than a kilometre from this house there is a lovely sandy beach, along one side of which lies a lagoon with shallow waters that are perfect for children and less able swimmers. The fishermen's town of Peniche is nearby, as is the quaint and popular 'island' of Baleal, linked to the mainland by a narrow strip of sand.



Inside, the property has a living room with ample seating, and French windows open onto a covered terrace. The galley kitchen is modern and well equipped should you decide to dine at home, rather than at one of the many good local restaurants.



The grounds are laid to lawn and there is a low boundary wall with fenced steps, therefore small children will need supervision.

Beautiful cosy house with splendid view

Beautiful and very personally furnished house with an eye for detail and sufficient luxury. Everything you need is there. The terrace is spacious and has a hammock and a view of the lagoon. Nice green garden with shade. The neighbor's roosters crow early. The lake offers a rich biotope for walks. We saw flamingos. The mouth of the large lake into the ocean is a swimming paradise for children. This south side of the ocean cliff coast is extremely quiet: sometimes you just watch the waves.

Very good place, very nice host. She is there for you! Sometimes you have bad luck with lots of clouds. There are rather some cats which are fed every day. It is not necessarily a god combinaties if you bring a dog. The cats have older rights. Be prepared to be awakend by the 2 roosters morning between 6.30 & 7.30. They sure will be quite around 8.

Das Haus war sehr ansprechend und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und zusammen mit dem Garten auch sehr gepflegt. Die Lage ist toll und ruhig. Die Ausstattung ist sehr gut und reichhaltig, es fehlte uns an nichts. Der Kontakt mit Isabel war sehr, sehr nett, jederzeit möglich und absolut verlässlich. Wir haben uns hier zwei Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt. So ein Häuschen hätten wir auch gerne...

Wunderschönes Fischerhäuschen in idyllischer Lage

Wir haben drei Wochen in diesem bezaubernden Fischerhäuschen verbracht und sind einfach begeistert. Isabell ist eine so herzliche Gastgeberin und hat das Haus und den Garten mit viel Liebe gestaltet und eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Isabell hatte uns mit einem umfangreichen Geschenkkorb begrüßt. Das Haus wird wöchentlich gereinigt und die Betten frisch bezogen. Handtücher werden in ausreichender Zahl zur Verfügung gestellt. Zwischendurch kommt auch ein Gärtner vorbei und kümmert sich um den Garten. Auf dem Grundstück leben ein Hahn und drei Hühner und einige Katzen. Der Hahn fängt bereits sehr früh morgens an zu krähen, damit muss man leben. Isabell hat aber einen großen Vorrat an Ohropax zur Verfügung gestellt und damit lässt es sich dann gut aushalten. Uns persönlich war die Matratze zu hart, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Wäre das Haus nicht direkt nach uns wieder vermietet gewesen, hätten wir unseren Urlaub dort noch verlängert!

Ferienhaus mit allem was man braucht

Liebevoll eingerichtet, alles sehr ordentlich und sauber, Matratzen top, Verbrauchsmaterial (bspw. Gewürze, Spüli, Mülltüten etc., was man sonst oft als Grundausstattung besorgen muss) bereits vorhanden). Vermieterin Isabel hat uns zudem mit einem Geschenkkorb (Brot, Croissants, Butter, Marmelade, Nespressokapseln, ...) überrascht. Lage an der Lagune für SUP und Kitesurfen ideal. Zum Strand und Wellen mit Fahrrad oder Auto 5 Minuten. Praia Cortico (sehr zu empfehlen!) etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Wen früh morgens krähende Hähne stören, sollte sich was anderes suchen oder Ohrstöpsel verwenden. Für uns war es kein Problem. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Danke Isabel!

Kleinod an der Lagune von Obidos

Wir haben wunderschöne Ferientage im Haus von Isabel direkt an der Lagune von Obidos verbracht. Das Haus ist außerordentlich gut ausgestattet, liebevoll bis ins kleinste Detail eingerichtet, dazu blitzblank sauber und sehr gepflegt. Die Terrasse hinter dem Haus mit Blick auf die Lagune über den mediterranen Garten, mit schönem Esstisch, Liegestühlen und Hängematte haben wir besonders genossen. In der Umgebung gibt es nur einen kleinen Supermarkt, zum Einkaufen waren wir meist in Caldas da Rainha; dort sind besonders der Obst- und Gemüsemarkt und die Fischhalle zu empfehlen - der Weg lohnt sich! Um das Haus gut zu finden, empfehlen wir, "Casal da Lapinha" auf Google einzugeben, durch die Siedlung mit Neubauten hindurchzufahren - am Ende der Siedlung befinden sich die traditionellen Häuser, darunter nicht zu verfehlen das Haus von Isabel auf der rechten Seite. Isabel selbst war eine äußerst engagierte und immer hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, der wir sehr herzlich für ihre Gastfreundschaft danken. Einziger Wermutstropfen waren in unseren Augen die Hähne auf dem Nachbargrundstück, die deutlich vor Tagesanbruch sehr ausdauernd zu krähen beginnen. Wer also einen leichteren Schlaf hat, sollte unbedingt Ohropax im Reisegepäck haben ;-))

Bonito casa y entorno espectacular

Es una casa preciosa, decorada con mucho gusto, Maria Isabel es una persona encantadora y estuvo disponible para resolver cualquier duda o problema que nos surgiera. Hemos estado muy a gusto en su casa. El acceso al paseo por el lago está al lado de la casa, Aldea de pescadores donde están los restaurantes está a 4 mnts en coche. En 20 mnts Óbidos para los supermercados. Una estancia muy agradable y un entorno precioso y único.

wonderful place

very nice place located in a lovely area. just the right place for everyone looking for a cosey place close to the sea with Mary Isabel as a very nice responsive host. very nice beaches in walking distance. picturesque view over the lagoon of Obidos. Nothing to complain about. We had an excellent stay, enjoyed the house and can only highly recommend it!

Un lieu a récommender à 100 pour cent - charmant et bien placé

Voilà que nous venons passer une dizaine de jour dans la maison de Maria Isabel. Nous l´avons tellement appréciée car elle est bien placé - pas un bruit autour, sauf les oiseaux - puis tellement jolie et bien meublé à l´intérieur. Nous nous sommes senti comme chez des amies et pas comme dans une maison de vacances. La cuisine est équipée de tout ce qu´il faut (presse de jus, mixer, machine a café, Nespresso-machine, et tout autre materiels. La salle de sejour et parfait pour y passer des bons heures. Nous avons pris tous les répas sur la terrasse de la quelle on peut voir la lagune. Et pour le pain frais: Tout le jours, un boulanger passe avec sa voiture entre 9:30 et 10:30 en claxonnant dans les rues dans lesquelles il s´arrête. Et il s´arrête aussi en claxonnant directement au coin de la maison. Sinon tout près: petite boutique pour salade / pain ecetera directement au parking a la plage. Les trois pièce à coucher sont parfait pour quatre à cinq personne. Pour aller se baigner dans la lagune d´Obidos, il faut marcher pour environ 15/ 20 minutes par un beau chemin à travers la lagune et s´est tres bien faisable aussi avec des enfants. Les notres sont 5 à 8 ans et n´ont pas voulu prendre la voiture puisque il ont toujours fait des petites découvertes sur le chemin. Le grand plus: Dans la lagune, les enfants peuvent aller à l´eau sans risque, car il n´y a pas les grandes vagues. Nous nous sommes placé en général près de la lagune et sont marché (5 minutes) pour sauter dans les grandes vagues en famille. QUESTION COURSES: Il y a des supermarchés à Obidos (15 minutes en voiture) - une ville médiévale à 100 pour cent intacte qu´il faut absolument voir! Et si possible aussi les fêtes médievales chaque année en Juillet - c´est magnifique avec des tournois - on se sent dans un film médieval. Absolument à recommender aussi: le marché pour les fruits / legumes et le marché de poisson tout les jours dans la ville de Caldes de la Rhaina (les thermes de la reine, environ 14 km de la maison). Une ville très sympa pour y prendre aussi son café sur le marché apres les courses et voir le musée des thermes. Il y a aussi plein d´autres petites boutiques pour faire ses achats. Pour un tour à Lisbone (ancienne ville Alfama, Oceanario pour les enfants): environ 1 heure. En tout: Absolument à recommender, nous avons passé des superbes vacances!

Liebevoll eingerichtetes herrlich gemütliches Haus in wunderschöner Lage

Das kleine Haus an der Lagune von Obidos liegt in einer herrlich ruhigen kleinen Siedlung wenige Schritte vom Wasser entfernt. Die Einrichtung war sehr liebevoll und vor allem erstaunlich komplett. Die Küche hielt alles bereit, was man brauchen könnte, es gab diverse Geräte, Grillzubehör usw. Eine sehr schöne gepflegte Terrasse mit Garten und Traumblick auf die Lagune. Besonders hat uns der ausgesprochen liebe Empfang der Besitzerin gefallen. Wir fühlten uns sehr verwöhnt . Die Gegend ist sehr grün, das Städtchen Obidos ein altes mittelalterliches Kleinod, Caldas de la Reinha eine ebenso schöne Stadt mit tollem Markt. Der Atlantik ist wenige Auitominuten entfernt. Wir durften auch unseren Hund mitbringen. Alles sehr unkompliziert. Für Familien mit Freude an Natur und Erholung und Lust auf Fahrten zu alten Klöstern und Städten perfekt.

Très bruyant en été/Very noisy in summer/Im Sommer sehr laut

Malheureusement, nous ne pouvons pas recommander la maison de vacances - du moins dans la haute saison. Sur le côté opposé de la lagune était une immense tente disco, où des parties ont eu lieu à quatre sur sept nuits jusqu' à 5 heures du matin !!!. Peut-être que c'était une exception et peut-être le vent était mauvais. Cependant, après quatre nuits blanches, nous aurions aimé voir plus de compréhension du propriétaire, ou un soupçon en avant que les événements se dérouleront en été et pourrait éventuellement devenir plus fort. Au lieu de cela, elle nous a écrit que ces partis n'existeraient pas. Nous lui avons alors envoyé un lien avec l'annonce des événements. Après notre départ, elle nous a écrit que notre plainte était pratique courante des Allemandes pour réduire le prix de location par la suite. C'est dommage! Unfortunately we cannot recommend the holiday home - at least not in the high season. On the opposite side of the lagoon has been a huge disco tent, where parties took place on four out of seven nights until 5 o'clock!!! in the morning. Perhaps that was an exception and possibly the wind was bad. However, after four sleepless nights, we would have liked to see more understanding from the landlord, or a hint in advance that events will take place in the summer and it could possibly become louder. Instead, she wrote us that these parties would not exist. We sent her a link with the announcement of the events. After that she wrote to us that she had inquired and that it was common practice of Germans to complain only to reduce the rental price afterwards. It's a pity. Leider können wir das Ferienhaus nicht empfehlen - jedenfalls nicht in der Hauptsaison. Auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Lagune stand ein riesiges Disco-Zelt, in dem an vier von sieben Nächten von 23 - 5 Uhr morgens Parties stattfanden. Möglicherweise war das eine Ausnahme und möglicherweise stand der Wind schlecht. Dennoch hätten wir uns nach vier schlaflosen Nächten von der Vermieterin mehr Verständnis gewünscht bzw. einen Hinweis, dass im Sommer in der Nähe Veranstaltungen stattfinden und es evtl. lauter werden könnte. Stattdessen sagte sie uns, dass es diese Parties gar nicht gebe. Daraufhin schickten wir ihr einen Link mit der Ankündigung der Veranstaltungen. Nach unserer Abreise schrieb sie uns dann, sie hätte sich erkundigt und es sei in Deutschland gängige Praxis derlei zu behaupten, um den Mietpreis nachträglich zu mindern. Sehr schade!

Magnifique maison dans un cadre idyllique i!

Nous avons passés 15 jours de rêve chez isabel. C'est une maison pleine de charme avec sa terrasse couverte qui donne sur le lagon, où il fait bon prendre son café le matin dans le calme. L'intérieur est très confortable. Toit est très propre, décoré avec goût et une literie au top ! Le lagon a proximité est très agréable pour des footings et balades a vélo. Également on peut accéder aux grandes plages sauvages de l'océan par de petits chemins côtiers très jolis. Bref des vacances magnifiques. On reviendra chez Isabel a coup sur avec nos enfants qui n'attendent que ça. Merci encore a Isabel pour sa gentillesse et son accueil chaleureux. Karine, Stéphane et les enfants.

Lieu d'exception

Une lagune jouxtant l'Atlantique, un cadre vraiment naturel proche de la cité médiévale d'Obidos et de la charmante ville de Caldas da Rainha, si vivante et si riche de culture. Maria Isabel vous accueille avec sa formidable personnalité alliant charme et volonté d'efficacité. La maison est très bien équipée et tant jolie que belle, dans ses murs et dans ses terrasses et jardin.

Maison magnifique

La maison de Maria Isabel est à son image, très accueillante. Nous y avons passé 2 semaines formidables. Cette maison est très confortable, pittoresque et très bien équipée. Le jardin est également très joli et la vue sur la lagune superbe. Le quartier est très agréable et calme. Nous vous recommandons vraiment cette maison ainsi que la région où les gens sont très sympathiques.
