On the ground floor you can relax in the cosy living room with easy seating, Smart TV, and a coal effect fire for those cosy nights in. There is a separate dining room and a well-equipped contemporary kitchen, leading to a modern shower room. Finally, a small but enclosed yard at the rear.
Just 100 yards from the property is Main Street, the centre of this beautiful Cumbrian town. Cockermouth is very popular with locals and tourists, offering an array of independent speciality shops, restaurants and quaint coffee houses, a great selection of pubs and even a couple of microbreweries. Walking through the town, you can visit the birthplace of William Wordsworth, then across the river, you can feed the ducks and let the kids play in the memorial gardens. Cycle hire is also available locally, or you can enjoy a swim at the local leisure pool.
Home to the famous Jenning’s brewery, nestled beneath the castle walls, this picturesque thriving market town sits at the junction of the River Cocker and the River Derwent on its journey to the sea. Being right on the border of the Lake District National Park, you can choose between the rugged scenery of the lakes and mountains and the sandy beaches of the west Cumbrian coastline.
