I stayed at this house with 3 other friends. It is in excellent shape, all appliances functioned and the house was clean and well appointed on arrival. It is within about 3 blocks of the main street but in a very quiet neighborhood. There is also a town shuttle stop close by if needed to get to the older portion of town. We were also visited daily by the local deer population. I would definetly stay here again and will plan to return another time with my wife.
We stayed as a family of 5 - 3 young adult children and were really comfortable in the house. The home is even better than the photos. Very clean and it feels all brand new. We spent a lovely evening on the back porch and woke to a large deer chilling out in the back yard. Great place!!
This is a great property in a great location. The house has everything needed to feel homey. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kids loved the school playgrounds across the street and the deer family that liked to hang out in the backyard. The hosts were kind and responsive to inquiries. Hopefully we’ll have a chance to return!
This house is located in a quiet spot a short bike ride from the heart of Durango. Comfortable with everything a vacation rental needs. Great value and just right for our family of four.
This property is just perfect. Very nice decisions were made when this home was updated. Thoughtful layout, fine amenities, just works in every way and the location is spot on.
We will be back!
Great stay, new condition with everything in working order, clean and comfortable with all the essentials. Check out was easy and they don’t require you to do all the cleaning and stuff it’s very reasonable. Good location. Would stay again
This property is on a cul-de-sac in a very nice neighborhood. We had beautiful fall weather and the house is just perfect. So quiet! We had a family of mule deer hang out daily. Also spotted a couple of racoons! We did have a pretty large bear run by late one night so if you are there during a time when they are not hibernating, keep an eye out! Great location!
We absolutely loved this house! It's all newly remodeled, well appointed and very comfortable. The kitchen is spectacular! It's well stocked, all we needed were groceries to cook meals. The living area is very comfortable, we enjoyed watching the Olympics at night. The bedrooms are small, and the master bath is not connected to the larger bedroom. That was a small adjustment. We loved the neighborhood. Close enough to walk (15-20 minutes) to downtown or an easy bike ride. We love riding the Animas River Trail, which is easily accessible nearby. And the home has bikes available! There were 3 of us, and we had 3 adult bikes. We really enjoyed the "yard buck" who came to visit. He clearly is comfortable around people. Great photos of him and his rack up close. I highly recommend this home, for two couples or a couple with two children. In all, a really nice experience!
My husband, kids, and I had a wonderful stay at this house. It could not be more perfect for kids. It's an open floorplan, so the kids could run around and we could still see everything they were doing (VERY important). Nothing "breakable" within reach of the kids and the high top table made it easy to just get a booster seat for the baby and he could sit at the table with us. The house was very clean and well-stocked.
It's a nice, quiet street, but very close drive to downtown Durango. We really appreciated the quiet at bedtime as we were able to open the windows at night to hear the wildlife and keep the house cool. The house is very well insulated and stays cool (especially at night).
The hosts were very communicative and helpful. Check in and out were extremely easy. I really appreciated the uncomplicated check out. The host book had great recommendations and was very clear.
We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Durango! Thank you for the amazing stay!
We loved staying in this renovated home! The entry, living, and eat in kitchen are spacious and beautiful. It was so easy to access the home and security was awesome. It was nice not having keys to fumble with, or lose. We loved having a full size coffee maker and not a Keurig. There's a very nice back patio and surprisingly spacious back yard. We wish we had had time to do a little bbqing. The neighborhood was so peaceful and quiet. It was so nice to not hear road noise throughout the night, like you get when staying in a hotel. There was only one downside for us, and it was the bedroom with 2 beds. We were 3 adults traveling together and we didn't realize the second bed was up a steep metal ladder, and there really wasn't enough room for an adult to be comfortable up there. The ladder also impedes access to the dresser and closet in the bedroom. This room would work well for 2 kids who have the agility to maneuver the obstacles. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful. We appreciate the care that the owners have taken with this rental.
This was an adorable place to stay. Communication was excellent, and the host even checked in the next day to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The house was very clean and provided everything we needed. It is in a great location and we would highly recommend it. We definitely would stay here again.
We love staying at this property! It was so close to everything and the house was well appointed. I can’t think of any recommendations. We would love to come back!
Perfect place to stay for us. We are a family of 5 and the home was clean, had everything we needed and was a great location. We wole up to deer in the yard most mornings and really enjoyed the view of the mountains. We were in town visiting friends and took a trip to mesa verde. This place couldnt have acccomodated us better!
Great location, quiet neighborhood, close to the river walk and downtown. Had everything we needed. Will definitely use again on any furture Durango visit.
We celebrated our 13th anniversary and my middle daughter’s birthday during our stay and had the best time. The house was the perfect size, had all the updated amenities and was the perfect location to all the fun Durango offers. We zip lined, rafted, rode the train to Silverton, and enjoyed the ski lift rides at Purgatory. Cannot recommend this property enough!
Excellent place to stay in Durango. Check in process was smooth, everything we needed was available to make our stay comfortable and home was clean. Kids enjoyed the toys. Thank you!
We are a Colorado-native family with two teenage children, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. We consider ourselves lucky to live in Durango with so much to offer, including great weather and a great community. We enjoy skiing, fishing, biking, hiking, rafting, camping and paddle boarding. Nate is a fly fishing guide and has spent many years teaching skiing as well. Tammy is not a pro at any sport, but enjoys being outdoors and participating in all the activities Durango has to offer.

What makes this property unique
We consider this the perfect location to call home when travelling to Durango. It sits in a great location, in-town, on a quiet dead-end street with great neighbors. It is within a few blocks of the Animas River and the Animas River trail system that spans the entire town.
