About this property

Cozy Cabin in the Pines! Beautiful property with lots of space!

Cozy little house on several acres of flat ground just minutes from town. Easy access to this nicely maintained property located on a paved road. The property is well kept with beautiful views off the bluff at the back of the property. It is an attractive and relaxing setting with convenient access to the many attractions of the Durango area.

Distances to popular places:
5 minute drive to the edge of Durango.
16 minute drive to the Durango & Silverton Railroad.
18 minute drive to Durango regional airport.
39 minute drive to Purgatory Ski Resort.

The house is about 1300 sq. ft. and has two bedrooms with and two bathrooms. One of the bathrooms is connected to the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom has a queen size bed. There is a nice hide-a-bed in the living room that will allow space for up to 6 people.

There is a full kitchen and dining room and living room that is fully equipped with stove, microwave, dishwasher. There are dishes and pots and pans and spices, etc.

Also a back deck and front porch that are great for just enjoying the great outdoors that Colorado has to offer!

Also, there is the possibility to play pickle ball on the property. It’s not set up all the time, but if you just let us know you are interested we can set it up for you!

The owners live on the property part-time in a separate apartment that is detached from the main house. They often stay off the property while guests are there but will be available if you should need anything.


Here are a couple things you should be aware of in advance:
We do not have any TV's in the house. Also, if you put in a request or message me on a Sunday it will be Monday morning before I can get back with you.

Great Vacation Spot

My husband and I found this property to be perfect for our vacation. The location was convenient for accessing both the mountain lakes and downtown for shopping and restaurants.There were plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces around the property for reading, playing games, relaxing, and enjoying the scenery. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and serve meals.The owners made check-in easy and responded immediately to our questions.We are hoping to come back one day for another stay.

We had such an amazing/relaxing family vacation. The house was perfect and so cozy. We really enjoyed the wide variety of games and puzzles available to us. Pickle ball was also a big hit. Overall we were very pleased with the home and beautiful views. The owners are very helpful also. We can't wait to go back

Perfect Getaway

This was the best spot I've ever stayed in. Well appointed, flexible owners, great views, located in the woods, but close to everything. I would definitely stay here and this was an 11/10.... can't say enough good things about it!!!!

Another great stay. Just as advertised. Great host. Very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The wood burning stove makes for a very cozy stay. This was our second stay, and I hope we have the opportunity to stay here again in the future.

The cabin was very clean and cozy. Very well stocked with everything we needed. Had a couple of rainy days so spent a lot of time in the cabin and we were very comfortable. Highly recommend it. Y'all check it out.

Comfortable country living

This location is an easy drive to Durango and in a quiet country setting. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had all the tools needed. If you want a place that doesn't have immediate neighbors, this is it.

The cabin was clean and cozy. There is no tv, which helped us be more in the moment. A bunch of card games and board games are provided. And the check-in and -out process was simple and smooth.

If you enjoy space and comfort. This is the place for you and family. Sit on the balcony and listen to the river.... Delicious bakeries down the street and Historic Downtown Durango just 10mins away.

Perfect place for a family vacation

Absolutely loved the house, it had everything we needed. The outside deck and scenery was beautiful, it was very clean. The location was perfect, close enough to get to town and get there in a short time, but far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. The Durango/Sliverton train station was about 15 minutes away. I would recommend this home to anyone.

A true gem!

An amazing stay in a beautiful home. Both beds and sofa bed were incredibly comfortable. Well stocked bathroom and kitchen. Beautiful surroundings. An adorable outdoor cat which our boys loved. Beautiful and Peaceful Property

Gary and Anna have thought of everything. Everything was well stocked in the kitchen. The property is clean, both inside and out. It is close to the CO 240, but far enough off that it is not bothersome, especially if you sit on the deck overlooking the Florida river below. We had the pleasure of wild turkeys and magpies that would come visit us daily. Lou the cat is an absolute love and a great host as well! We determine our stays by reviews and we would highly recommend staying here. Previous reviews are spot on and we hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Beautiful, Clean, & Spacious!

We LOVE this place and didn't want to leave! It felt like being at Grandma's house—such a gorgeous setting with lots of space inside and out. The deck on the back of the property overlooking the Florida River was one of our favorite spots. The house is close to everything and far enough outside the city that felt rural. The cleaners were leaving when we got there (a little early), and they did a great job! The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The kitchen was well stocked with many cooking appliances, bowls, silverware, cups, etc! The game closet was a treasure trove of fun! The smell of the pine trees was incredible! The front porch swing was the cherry on top! I also REALLY appreciated the Bath and Body Works hand soap and lotion! I have never had that in a VRBO. We were pleasantly surprised to find out they had wifi available for us. Check-in and communication were great and easy! Both Garys were very nice and helpful. We can't wait to go back!

Perfect place for our visit to durango. The house had everything we needed. Kitchen well stocked, even firewood avaliable to make a fire. If I had to give a suggestion, we kind of missed an electric socket near the bed to charge a phone.

This indeed was a cozy cabin. We played hard during the day and came home to cook supper and relax. The kitchen was well equipped and the living room furniture was comfortable as were the beds. We had everything we needed.
