About this property

A Little Gem in a beautiful village of Spofforth nr Harrogate and Wetherby

Castle Cottage is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Spofforth.

Our little Gem is only a 10 minute drive away from Harrogate and a few minutes from Wetherby. We have the wonderful Castle Inn pub a stones throw away. We also have Spofforth Castle ruin run by English Heritage. Spofforth Golf course for a quick round. Miles and miles of walking spots from the doorstep.
There is a regular bus service to Harrogate, Wetherby and Leeds. The local train station is about a 10min drive away.

The cottage comprises of a front cottage garden with table and seating. To the rear we have a secure garden for small dogs and seating.

Inside the property is a lounge / dining area, separate kitchen. One king bedroom on the ground floor, one double to the first floor and a single / double also on the first floor, bathroom.

We loved staying here!

We loved our stay here! In fact, it was our favorite place we stayed on our 2 week UK trip. The house itself is perfect. We also enjoyed walking to the castle ruins and having dinner at the inn/pub across the street. Highly recommend staying here!

We’ve been before and loved the cottage and its location. We enjoyed eating at the Bistro and drinking in the pub over the road, literally out of the gate and across the road. Great location for visiting Harrogate. Thank you

Pre-Christmas get together

The house was in perfect location for our weekend with family travelling from Leeds and Newcastle. A couple of friends stayed in The Castle pub, literally just across the road.

First class- a charming cottage very tastefully decorated and clean. Great pub just over the road for an evening meal. With walks on the doorstep too and only 6 miles for Harrogate so found it a great location for our weekend away with friends.

Really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well appointed. Situated right in the center of the village. The village itself doesn’t have a lot however it is a short drive to both Wetherby and Harrogate which have lots to offer.

Perfect little paradise

House was perfect - set in a very quiet and peaceful place a stones-throw from a good shop and an amazing pub. Spofforth stay

This property was home from home, super clean (4 in a bed standard!), and we didn’t want to leave. Will definitely return, beautiful house in a beautiful location-pub and shop across the road. Only issue some may not like is that it’s situated by the road, this didn’t bother us in the slightest. Thanks Georgie for letting us stay in your lovely home.

A week in North Yorkshire

Property slightly smaller than expected but located very well. Nice pub and little shop across the street. Very well placed with much to do in the surrounding area without a long drive. York 45 minutes away, beautiful countryside, Harrogate a few minutes away, good restaurants in the area. The best of country and city life available to you near Spofforth.

It was an amazing little cottage , the hostess ensured everything needed was provided and catered for . The kitchen is very functional and the bedrooms really beautifully made with amazing comfortable beds . The hostess was pleasant on phone and in person. Lovely house in a great village

We had a wonderful stay in this 3 bedroom cottage. The property has been beautifully decorated and has all the amenities that you need to enjoy your holiday. The location is fantastic giving you easy access to Harrogate, Wetherby and beyond to the wonderful Yorkshire countryside. The pub across the road is great for food and drinks as well. Communication with Georgie was excellent and the process for arrival and departure very simple. All in all a great holiday and we look forward to staying again sometime in the future.
