I stayed here with my family of 5. The apartment was perfect in every way — clean, spacious, centrally located, great view of the church. We had such a lovely time in Reykjavik and staying here made it so convenient! The management was so helpful and very easy to communicate with. Thank you!
Great place and service from hosts. The only drawback for us was the LOUD street noise from those partying at all hours of the night. Not the fault of the hosts but just something to account for (earplugs).

Great space. Very cosy. Great kitchen and everything you need to make your own food. Perfect location. Underground Parking about 5 minute walk to the East. Even though newly refurbished there was a cracked tile or two on the bathroom floor, but no problem. Two bedrooms, with two single beds in each and a lounge/shared space with a sofa bed. Small outside terrance to look up if the lights are about. Only one thing was a struggle and that is there is no elevator and its three flights of stairs. Suggest only book if you have manageable cases or a good strong member of the crew. At least you onky have to do it once up and down. There are P1 parking spaces right outside. Pay for one hour on the website and then get unloaded and then go and take the car to the underground parking. Really close to Sun Voyager and Hallgrimskirkja church.

Dear Christopher,
Thank you for your detailed review!
We’re glad you enjoyed the cozy, well-equipped apartment and great location. We appreciate your note about the stairs and parking—it’s helpful for future guests to plan ahead. It’s great to hear that minor things, like a cracked tile, didn’t affect your stay.
We’d love to welcome you back anytime!Thank you for your detailed review!

Good location for downtown. Four flights of stairs, laundry in the basement. Kitchen was well stocked with coffee and tea, cooking items. Cozy upstairs apartment. Parking can be difficult to find in the area.
This place was perfect for our family of 6 - just enough room, clean, and location couldn’t be better. Management company was quick to respond to any questions. Would def stay again.
This unit is very nice and is very central, few steps to bars , restaurants, shops, as well as many meeting points for excursions ( BSI Bus station, Bus stop no 1 and no 3). The hosts are also very responsives.
This was our first time to Iceland and the location was perfect for easy access to the town (and a yummy bakery!) and to the bus station for excursions. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable, but some construction outside. Still ok because we spent most time out exploring the wonderful things Iceland has to offer! Overall a great vrbo experience

Dear Autimn,
Thank you for your lovely review! We're thrilled to hear that the location was perfect for your Iceland adventure and that you enjoyed the nearby bakery and easy access to excursions. We appreciate your understanding of the construction and are happy it didn't affect your experience. We hope to host you again for your next visit!
Warm Regards,
Nikol, Customer Care Team
Close to restaurants and shopping. Management was very responsive when we asked for additional towels and dishwasher tabs. Lots of stairs but worth the climb.

Dear Susan,
Thank you for the time spent with us on our property. We sincerely value your opinion. We always strive to leave feelings in our guests for as great an experience as possible.
I hope you have a lovely day / night!

Location was great and it was clean and nice, but if carrying luggage up and down 4 flights of stairs is not easy for you, then this is not the place to stay. We also had quite a few bumps to the head on the pitched ceiling before we decided to move all of the furniture to the center of the rooms.
Pros:
- Location is in a very central location that makes this place great.
- Valdi's ice cream is just downstairs
- Modern look with a great view. Having coffee in the morning while watching the sun rise from the balcony was amazing.
- Staff is very quick to respond to any issues and they are easy to get a hold of.
Cons:
- Be prepared to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get to the rental. Great way to get your daily steps in.
- The sheets were clean, but the furniture such as the sofas could use a deep clean. They are in need of a shampoo.
First, the pictures are VERY much filtered. The building entry is very dirty and the bathroom toilet and shower were gross. They offered to send a cleaning person back but never did. There were absolutely no cleaning products or trash bags available for a week long stay. Also, it is not four flights of stairs up with no elevator, as they said, it is SIX. The apartment had at least 5 lightbulbs out and wire from a lighting socket hanging from the ceiling. The way the beds are arranged there is no way NOT to bump your head.
On the positive side, the beds are very comfortable as well as the linens. There’s a cute terrace, an awesome ice cream shop downstairs, and it’s in an excellent location. Pretty much everything is walkable ( as long as you haven’t killed your back walking up and down six flights of stairs). It’s unfortunate because if this property was better maintained and the management actually answered your questions and concerns it could be very lovely.

Great Location!
Great location right in the heart of all the Christmas happenings in Reykjavik!
Couple of concerns/drawbacks:
1. It’s in the attic. 4 flights of stairs up. This is all fine except those are the only way out. If there’s a fire 🔥 it’s certain death unless you can shimmy thru one of the SMALL window openings and jump to the street 4 stories below ⬇️. There is a balcony of sorts but the snow was piled up against the door such that it only opened 8”. If the balcony door opened one would still have to jump. No emergency escape ladder or anything.
2. The pics show a light filled space. However, it’s quite dark. Ceilings and walls are charcoal and all the bulbs seem to be 40W. Overhead light in bathroom was out. Quite dark overall in winter.
3. Radiators in the room with 2 beds did not work. Remained stony cold no matter what we did to them. Seemed like a valve supplying them was closed. That room was 10-15° F colder than test of space. Contacted management company and got a lesson in how radiators work which we already knew.
4. No microwave or washing machine.
Memories to last a lifetime we’re made on this trip. The base camp location of this property was amazing. Unique and lovely interior. (I am interior designer and I loved this property). We had four kids and two adults and it worked out great.
When we arrived at the unit it was a bit confusing. The entrance to the unit is actually in the back of the building. There are four flights of stairs (58 steps) so it can be a bit taxing to walk up and down the stairs. I am 64 so I was tired by the time I got to the unit. In addition the back entrance and steps were a bit dirty.
All that goes out the window when you enter the unit. Very new and nice with plenty of room. We only had three in our party but there was room for 6.
I would recommend this as a place to stay as long as the steps aren’t too much.
Very close to bars and restaurants. If you come from the airport you need to get off at bus stop 8. Five minute walk from there.
Great place and I would stay there again
This is a lovely walk-up unit in the heart of Reykjavik. Location was perfect for our short stay as we were able to get around easily. Area has lots of shops and restaurants. As is mentioned in the property description, there are lots of stairs to get to the unit. Also, because it's in the heart of the city, it can be somewhat noisy though this did not interfere with our enjoyment of this property. Overall, highly recommended.
Excellent location and furnishing. On the fourth floor. Not handicap friendly. Check in was an hour late. Entry to the building very difficult or the vision impaired. No instructions on the appliances. Even with the shortcomings listed I would return.
All as expected, very well kept apartment, good city views from all windows and balcony. Little bit of noise at night and quite a few flights of stairs - No issues for us, but may be for others.
Location is ideal to get to all the local bars/shops/attractions etc. We found parking every day fine within a couple of hundreds meters - Free in evening, about £7 per day in daytime.
Would happily return.
The apartment was clean and description was accurate. Very cute! Everything we needed and in a perfect location! Our 3 teens could just walk out the door and get ice cream, which they loved! Centrally located to all the shops and restaurants. Easy access out of town for our day trips. We got in very early so even though check in wasn’t until 4pm they let us know as soon as the apartment was ready which was a couple hours early to our delight!! We couldn’t unlock the apartment door when we checked in but management was there within 10 minutes to let us in and a carpenter came a couple of days later to fix the lock. It was a wonderful stay! I highly recommend the property for couples and families!
