Atlantic Retreat - 5 minute stroll from Crooklets Beach

Atlantic Retreat is a cosy bungalow set back on a quiet road, within easy walking distance of the beaches and town of Bude.
It is a 5 minute stroll from Crooklets beach, Summerleaze beach and the Seapool.
There are 2 sizable gardens to the front (inc. sun deck) and rear, all fully enclosed and child and dog friendly. To the front there is a quaint bridge leading to 2 off road parking spaces next to a stream.
Great for couples, families or groups of friends.

The space
The second bedroom can be either two single beds or a super king (the mattresses zip together) depending on whether the two guests in that room want to share.
The lounge has a 3/4 width sofa bed which is fine for one person or two who don't mind being cosy.
There is Wi-Fi and a large new Smart TV along with satellite box,

Guest access
The entire property is at the disposal of the guests. Large fenced garden which is dog and child friendly. There is a sun deck to the front of the property. The rear garden can be accessed from either side of the detached property.

Other things to note
There is dedicated parking for two cars directly outside the house and on street parking available too.
A high chair, travel cot and baby/toddler toys can be supplied if you require and give notice.
Dogs are charged at an additional cost of £20 per dog per stay and we allow a maximum of 2 dogs.

Damp

The property is ideally sited with carking spaces (suggest notice Private parking had a couple times couldn't park as others in stretet pinched space. Main problem was the strong stench of damp. the property was wet, the beds damp, when we opened the kitchen cupboard to use the pan it was covedred in mould disgusting! in fact all the pans etc where in same state. The property is desperatley in need of some TLC, soft furnishings etc. Taking this into account I do not feel it was good value for price charged. In fact as i have chest problems I now have a chest infection and on antibotics, probably caused the damp. It is a shame because it could have been a holiday trasure with a bit of care.

Atlantic Retreat Summer Holiday

This is our go to holiday destination in Bude fantastic location for beach and town quiet road and parking outside. The owner is always helpful and we would totally recommend this property.

Lovely property

Couldn't have asked for anywhere more central for beaches, shops, pubs, restaurants. The cottage has everything you need on a quiet road set back from the main road. Not forgetting the space for the dog outside who loved running around.

Heatwave not Bude like weather 😃

Stayed here for the second time we love the area and Bude is our go to holiday location. I totally recommend this house it’s location is excellent for access to the beach we love surfing so this venue is perfect it’s in a quiet road and this fulfilled our needs completely.
