About this property

Tiny Home on 26 Private Lake Front Acres

Get away from it all at our Green River Log Cabin situated only a few feet off the Corp of Engineers property line on Richard B Russell Lake. Come enjoy our beautiful cabin in the woods with the added benefit of the lake being only a few hundred feet (3 minute walk) from the cabin via a marked walking trail. Your family will have acres to explore, hike, and play. Your dog will be in heaven if you bring him/her along!

The Cabin:
With only 400 square feet, it's best for a couple or single family, but sleeps up to 8. There are queen mattresses in the master bedroom, upstairs loft, and a queen pullout couch. There are also two built-in twin bunk beds. Upgraded kitchen with granite, stainless appliances, coffee maker, toaster, and microwave. Full bathroom with shower/tub. Large screened porch with a ceiling fan and room to relax, as well. We recently added a huge covered porch for added enjoyment outdoors.

The Property:
Coldwater Point Cabin is situated towards the back of a very private 26 acre lot surrounded on three sides by Lake Russell with over 4000 feet of lake frontage. There are several walking trails throughout the property along with a fire ring for campfires and s'mores. We provide various items; canoe, paddleboards, and kayaks for our guest to use during their stay. Make sure you bring a fishing pole for the crappie, bass, catfish, and bream in the coves. At night, take a stroll the field at the top of the hill for some great star gazing while listening to the coyotes, owls, and whippoorwills in the distance.
We are often asked about the walk from our cabin to the lake. Here's a video of the actual walk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luyB37bqm5s&feature=youtu.be

Nearby:
We are only about 8 minutes from Richard B Russell State Park. Arrowhead Point Golf course is a must for golfers and the park also has a large sand beach, hiking trails, boat launch, pontoon rentals (highly recommended for cruising the lake!) and Frisbee disc course. Be sure to check out Blue Cielo Farms winery just down the road! It's about a 20 minute drive to Elberton, GA where you'll find restaurants, grocery stores, and other things to do. Athens, GA is around 45 minutes and worth a visit if you need to fill your time on a rainy day.

Our cabin is remote! Cell phone service is non-existent to spotty, at best, and we do not provide a phone or internet. Plan to be "disconnected" during your stay and enjoy the peace and quiet! This is the perfect place to get away from it all!

Great time as always

We love staying at this gem of a place. You basically have a private lake to swim, fish, paddle board, canoe... IT's awesome. Kitchen is well equipped and a great golf course nearby. Will be back next year!

Great place to disconnect and relax

If you are looking for a remote place to rest, relax, and disconnect from the main stream, this is the place for you. It has walking paths to the water and a place to put in your canoe. Very clean and great outdoor seating. Full size fridge, stove and dish washer.

Our Happy July 4th!

We just returned from the cabin where we spent the weekend of July 4th! My family really enjoyed it and we can't wait to go back! We spent most of our time on the water or on the amazing deck playing games and it...was...perfect.

Perfect getaway

This little cabin is perfect! They have stocked it with everything you could want for a wonderful getaway from the world without a need to leave the property. We explored the trails & fruit trees on the grounds. Lots of trips down to the lake to fish, kayak, & canoe. The stars are spectacular. We heard coyotes howling at night as we sat out by the fire. The deck is huge and so cozy. Ryan was so helpful & responsive leading up to check-in. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Review for Tiny Home on 26 Private Lake Front Acres

We had a great time at the Green River Log Cabin! Despite the rain, the wonderful deck allowed us to enjoy the outdoors. The cabin was cozy and well-equipped, perfect for our family of three adults. The surroundings were beautiful, and the large property made us feel secure and pleasantly secluded. We used the kayaks and paddleboards but getting them to the water and back was a bit challenging, and they showed signs of heavy use probably because of this. The canoe was at the water, but we did not use that. Overall, it was a fantastic retreat, and we highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway. We would definitely book this again.

What a great lake visit!

We booked this cabin for our lake visit, and were so impressed! It is brand new, spotless, and very well equipped. The mattresses were very comfortable, the kitchen works well for cooking, and yet, the yard is set up like a wonderful campsite! Full on glamping! We took the kayaks and canoes out, took many walks along the trails, watch the sunset on the lake, and saw an amazing meteor shower while roasting s'mores around the fire. If you need more activities, the state park is right down the road. I can't find a thing bad to say about our stay!

Perfect getaway

We absolutely loved our stay. The property is secluded and we didn’t see another person our whole stay. Exactly what we needed. The home was perfect for our family of 4 and my daughter really loved the fun girly sheets on one of the bunks! The house had every little thing we could need. From kayaks, canoe, SUPs, charcoal grill, life jackets, cornhole to a stack of DVD’s to watch in the bedroom. You have a wonderful little slice of heaven and if you ever want to sell we would be first in line! Thank you

Beautiful property

Beautiful scenery, nice walking trails, easy lake access, canoe/kayaks are great amenities, plenty of wildlife and places to fish. Cabin was comfortable. Just wish Ryan would have told us he still didn't find a service tech for the clothes dryer, we would have packed more outdoor wear. Had to hang wet clothes on a rigged clothes line between the trees which was better than losing fishing time in finding a laundromat. All in all, a property you would like to revisit.

Peaceful

I couldn’t have asked for a better location, property and cabin! I am quite addicted to my phone, so I was a bit concerned there, but I mentally prepped and I’m more addicted to nature and beauty so an easy trade off😉 The cabin itself is slightly smaller than it photographs, but the quality and wasn’t nice is precisely as photographs and I’m sure in warmer months, all the outdoors lace makes everything feel huge. I loved our stay, the grounds were private, well marked paths leading to the lake, adorable outdoor patio/deck, much better quality kitchenware than most rentals AND a washer and dryer! Great. We had no issues, never had to be in contact with the owners (but I’m sure they would have been lovely and responsive) Inwas there to rockhound and the location was ideal as a base

Nice high-end tiny house!

Overall, the cabin is exactly as described -- a high-end tiny house that left is outfitted with everything you need. All utensils, pots, pans, coffee maker, filters, everything you need, you just supply the food and the entertainment. We only had 2 of us staying there and it was plenty big, and I could see a family of 4-6 having no problem with sleeping arrangements since it has a loft with a queen bed. More than 6 would start to get cramped. The only thing we wished it had was an actual lake view, but we know that Ryan can't control either of those since the property borders Army Corps of Engineers land. Also, be aware that there is no cell service, Internet, or cable service here, so you will be completely offline. Feels weird at first to be disconnected from the world, but that's part of what makes this place special. You will not be disappointed at all with this property, there's plenty of nature, lots of stars, and complete seclusion.

Serene and Secluded

Beautiful "middle of nowhere" tiny house and right next to Lake Russell. We enjoyed the easy walking trail down to the lake and used the canoe. So peaceful and quiet. We loved the hammock swings. Only issue was that some of the bedding wasn't clean but there was plenty of extra pillows and blankets. We will be back.
