Large 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath Craftsman style home on a peaceful Lake Hartwell lot minutes from downtown Hartwell with a covered dock on the property and one minute from local boat ramp. Home offers plenty of room for entertaining with well-equipped kitchen (Keurig, regular coffee maker, toaster, blender, and can opener) open to the living area, large downstairs rear patio perfect for grilling (with grill and outdoor bar set), screened-in porch, and finished basement (with wet bar and large screen Smart TV). Master on main floor contains a queen, upstairs bedrooms contain a king and a kids room with two sets of bunk beds, and basement also has a separate queen bedroom and bath. Backyard leads to property's private covered dock with spacious views of the lake.

Perfect Lake House Family Vacation

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

This lake house was perfect for our family vacation. It's on a quiet spot on lake Hartwell and is very close to the downtown area of Hartwell. Everyday was spent at the dock swimming and fishing. The house is very well stocked with kitchen appliances and bedding. The host was very responsive to my messages and gave detailed instructions on everything. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful Lake Getaway

First of all, the communication with the owners was nothing short of easy and pleasant. The home is beautiful and roomy. Lots of great spaces to hang out and have different activities going on without feeling like everyone was on top of one another when we were all indoors. This was a perfect home to take my children and their friends for a graduation celebration. We look forward to going back again soon. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood and there is plenty of room to entertain and relax!

A nice, relaxing time with family and friends

Gary was great! We had some changes and he was very accommodating even before we arrived. The house was everything the listing said it was. The kitchen was really well stocked for 8 of us to cook 3 meals a day. The fire pit was so nice, and the dock was perfect for my husbands boat! The game room had everything the kids needed to keep them entertained. We had a nice, relaxing New Years and would definitely stay here again!

Family Enjoyed

We (our son's family, our daughter's family, and us - a total of six adults and three children under the age of 8 years old) arrived Friday evening. We found the house to be clean and adequately met our needs. We did find that the A/C not working as expected on the main and lower level, but did not report it to the owner until Saturday morning. Gary and Tiffanie were very responsive and was able to have an HVAC technician come to the house on Saturday to make the necessary repairs as quickly as possible. Overall, our family enjoyed our time together and left Sunday with great memories of our weekend together.

Relaxing Lake Vacation

We had a great time at this lake house. Great memories of swimming in the lake, boating around Lake Hartwell and the ping pong tournaments at night. I think what really made us the happiest was sitting on the deck watching the fire flies at night and sitting in the screened porch in the morning. The Goffs were great hosts. The grill broke and the next day a new grill was delivered. We were so happy! The dock was wonderful and we spent everyday down there enjoying the the water. The walk to the dock can be strenuous for the elderly and those who are out of shape. We looked at it as a little exercise and a nice walk in the woods. All in all it was a wonderful vacation. Great memories!

The house was a little hard to find, especially arriving after dark but it was exactly what we were looking for, a family reunion far away from busy life. The house is perfect for family gathering, very clean, charming and spacious, the outside is beautiful right by the lake. We enjoyed our long weekend with fishing, BBQ’s, bonfire and family time.

Beautiful Home

There were afew items that needed repaired so we took pictures and videos of those items so you would not charge us for those things that were broken before we arrived. I made it a point that all members of our were aware of of all your requests on how to treat your home We just wish whoever was before us did the same . The grill was terribly dirty so we had to pick up some disposable grill plates to make it usable The handle on the stove was coming off and one of the refrigerator crisping boxes were broke. Also there was the lower set of stairs rung that was broken at the top was sticking out. A couple of the guys in our group fixed the oven handle and the stair rung on the decks lower stairsad sllower runkwaware of

Great weekend of downtime

This house allowed several generations of family to come together for a long weekend and really not leave the house. There were gathering spaces on the main floor and lower level, there was plenty of space outside for the littles to roam, and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of utensils, dishware, and small appliances. Thank you for opening your home!

Fall Break Getaway

We had such an amazing few days at this property. Our college girls were able to meet us for the long weekend. The location is close to town and Hartwell has such a cute downtown area. We kayaked a little, but just enjoyed being together and relaxing. We walked/ran miles and miles over the few days we were there. The only complaint we had was the lack of washcloths. There was one per bathroom. Other than that, we had a great trip!!!

August Lake Time

This place was great! The Goff's were always attentive with any and all details. Five hundred and fifty mile one way drive was worth it. Very comfortable home! A good time was had by all! Hope to stay at Paula's Place again!

Wonderful Stay

We bought this house several years ago for our eventual retirement, so we would have a chance to return home to Georgia more often. At the time, we were living in Ohio with our two children, and we felt that investing in a future retirement lake house was a great way to see our family more and build memories with our kids while they are still young.

Why they chose this property

We chose Lake Hartwell because it is a beautiful lake situated between two unique college towns and is perfect for both fishing and recreational boating. One of the reasons why we chose this house is because we wanted a place that would comfortably accommodate multiple friends and family members and provide a great space for entertaining. Lastly, we were looking for a place in the city of Hartwell because we wanted to offer guests the convenience of being centrally located to local shops and amenities.

What makes this property unique

You may notice if you rent the house that it is named Paula's Place. We lost my husband's mom to cancer in 2014, and she always dreamed of owning a house by the water when she retired. We were so upset that she never realized her dream that we took the risk and bought this house--fulfilling a lifelong dream of hers and ours. We ultimately chose this particular house after falling in love with both the look of it inside and outside, the open gazebo/fire pit area in the front, and its views of the lake from every bedroom.
