Completely restored, 19th century farmhouse situated on 77 acres of private, untouched land just minutes from the Delaware River tow path, shopping, dining, & nightlife. Enjoy the charm of an older home with the convenience of modern, luxurious amenities.

This historic 5 bedroom house, built circa 1810, was completely renovated in early 2017, combining a contemporary design with the restored original detail & character of the home.

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing retreat or a vacation full of outdoor activities, this home is perfect for families and large groups. Its close proximity to the Delaware River and New Hope, PA allows for bike rides along the canal, fishing & water sports, shopping, outdoor dining, and nightlife.

***Before booking the house, please be aware that all of the bedrooms and bathrooms, except for the half bath, are located on the second floor. This is an old house, so all 3 staircases are steeper than newer homes. Also, the doorways are not wheelchair accessible.***

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds, gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
If the outdoor furniture was used, please put the covers back on. Also, please make sure the umbrella is lowered, and tied.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
-No smoking of any kind in the house. This includes marijuana. -No fireworks, or fire pits -Only use the gas fireplace
-Do not enter any parts of the barn. -The loss of any TV/fireplace remote is $20, and will be deducted from the security deposit.
-Do not park/drive on the grass; your security deposit will be taken to fix any damage.

Beautiful historic property with recent updates. If you have mobility issues, might not be good as all bedrooms are upstairs and stairs could be challenging. Otherwise, this is an outstanding property and our stay was fantastic.

What an amazing historic house with beautiful property in a vineyard. Quiet, close to everything you could want. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, I wish we were able to spend more time at the house, we were there for a wedding weekend and didn't even get to cook a meal in the well-stocked kitchen. Great spot for a family gathering

We needed a space for two families with adult and teen children, and the Federal Twist house was perfect. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated and very functional, and the common areas were comfortable and conducive to family gatherings. The house is close to the towpath and some other hiking areas. We would definitely stay here again!
