Casa Katarina – Traditional 3-Bedroom Villa with Private Pool and Sea Views in Luz Parque



Casa Katarina is a charming, traditional-style three-bedroom villa with a private swimming pool and excellent sea views. Located at the top of the village in the quiet residential area of Luz Parque, it is just one kilometre from the golden sands of Praia da Luz and within easy reach of local amenities.



Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The villa is set over two levels. The ground floor comprises three twin bedrooms:



The master bedroom includes a full en-suite bathroom and a small walk-in closet.



The remaining two bedrooms share a spacious family bathroom located at the end of the corridor.



All bedrooms feature French doors opening onto terraces at the front and side of the villa, which lead down to the pool area and lawned garden.



Living & Dining

The first floor is home to a large and comfortable lounge with a welcoming open fireplace. A flatscreen TV provides UK and Portuguese channels, and Wi-Fi is available throughout. Sliding patio doors open onto a balcony furnished with a table and chairs — perfect for al fresco dining while enjoying fantastic sea views.



A separate dining room with seating for six is located just off the lounge, and next to it is a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and other essential appliances.



A small laundry room, accessible from the outside of the villa, houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.



Outdoor Living

The private pool area is a generous size and can be completely enclosed with gates on either side, making it ideal for families with children. The free-form pool features a non-slip pebble lining and a rock feature at one end, adding character and charm.



All outdoor areas are well lit, allowing guests to enjoy the space well into the evening. The terraces and garden provide plenty of space for sunbathing, relaxing, or dining outdoors.



Location

Casa Katarina is within walking distance of many local amenities, yet far enough from the centre of Praia da Luz to offer extra peace and quiet. It’s the ideal choice for families or groups seeking a relaxed and comfortable base close to the beach and village life.

Perfect base for a lazy fortnight

A very well equipped villa just a short walk to the small town of Praia da Luz. We had a great holiday and if we were to return to this resort (and it’s fabulous restaurants and laid back vibe) we wouldn’t hesitate to rent Casa Katarina again.

We had a great week in August, totally relaxing with amazing see views just a 10 minute walk into luz. The outside space is brilliant, inside a little dated but clean and gave us the space we needed. Good value for holidaying in school holidays. Cleaner and gardener called mid week. Jinny Harman property management were great, would highly recommend them.

Nice place, 15 minute walk to town, all shopes and restaurants nearby. Pool was lovely although very cold. Would definitely stay there again .

Lovely but tired and on a busy road

Inexpensive, so do look at the house, but it is the corner of a busy road and the entrance to the 'park' so constant traffic noise. The house is lovely and clean with new bathrooms, but the kitchen is very tired without a dishwasher, which was fine for us. The beach towels are old and threadbare. A couple of the sunloungers were broken but still comfortable. This place needs a bit of investment and could be great (if you don't mind the noise from the road) but we had a lovely stay.

Maison avec piscine

La maison est agreable, malgré qu elle soit vieillotte. Plus de modernité serait le bienvenu. La maison est propre, ce système de cles dans le coffre est tres bien, cela nous a permis d arriver a l heure que l on voulait. Contrairement au avis laissé, nous n avons fait la connaissance d aucun voleur, et le frigo etait neuf et fonctionnait. Pour ce qui est de l endroit c est un petit village agréable, pour plus de mouvement on doit aller a lagos. Le safaris en jeep dans les terres et la visite des grottes en canoé kayak etait géniales.

O paraíso pouco seguro

A casa é um espaço muito interessante, de divisões amplas com áreas generosas. A limpeza é muito boa, as camas bastante confortáveis e a sensação geral é de conforto e bem estar. A exposição solar é maravilhosa e a vista para o mar infinito são das coisas mais importantes. A zona exterior é muito agradável, a piscina é muito boa e é ótima para socializar com o grupo. Há espaço para espreguiçadeiras e toalhas. O jacuzzi é agradável, contudo fica com sombra muito cedo e é frio. Existe a possibilidade de aquecer a água da piscina, mas tem o custo adicional de 100€ por semana e nós não fomos avisados disso. Existe um barbecue, porém, sem iluminação. Se quiserem fazer uma refeição de grelhados, é preferível que a façam à hora de almoço pois para jantar, não existe qualquer iluminação naquela zona. Este barbecue também não tem zona de lavagem. O “paraíso” não é seguro pois não existe vedação nem portão da propriedade para a estrada principal. Não há segurança. Caso queiram tomar as refeições no exterior para aproveitar o bom tempo, há a possibilidade de serem surpreendidos por alguém estranho. Com estas condições é lógico que não da para estar 100% relaxado e seguro. O mesmo se passa com a área da piscina, onde não podemos estar completamente descansados visto o acesso ser demasiado fácil para alguém mal intencionado. Aconteceram ainda situações que são imperdoáveis e muito amadoras. Ficamos sem gás num dos dias. Ligamos de imediato para a empresa dona da casa, à qual não obtivemos qualquer tipo de resposta até à manhã seguinte. Imaginem que tínhamos perdido a chave da porta em vez disso. Teríamos de ficar a dormir na rua? Nesse dia também a caldeira avariou e começou a verter água. No dia seguinte foram necessários vários telefonemas para que alguém se dignasse a resolver os problemas em tempo útil. Quando chegaram os técnicos mais uma vez ninguém da empresa se dignou a aparecer para dar apoio ou para nos consolar. Tivemos de ser nós a indicar os problemas, a identificar os locais e a falar com os técnicos. No geral achamos que a experiencia tinha potencial para ter sido muitíssimo melhor, mas pecou por situações muito básicas que deviam ter sido resolvidas há muito tempo. A falta de gás, a caldeira e a falta do portão e vedação são aspetos básicos e não deviam ser coisas que os hóspedes se deviam preocupar.

La casa está muy bien localizada, con unas grandes vistas al mar. Es muy agradable, la piscina es maravillosa y las habitaciones son muy espaciosas. La casa está muy bien organizada, con las habitaciones abajo separadas del resto de los cuartos (arriba). Lo malo es que no tiene puerta principal de entrada y que parte del muro del jardín está derruido.

Très belle maison même si elle est un peu ancienne. Très belle piscine avec jacuzzi. Dans l'ensemble, tout est plus ou moins parfait. Points négatifs: -frigo très ancien, ne refroidit pas bien -pas de lave-vaisselle -mobilier de cuisine très ancien -le point le plus négatif est la sécurité : maison avec accès faciles tout autour, pas de portail à l'entrée. Lors de notre 2eme jour de vacances, on a eu la visite de 2 cambrioleurs malgré notre présence dans la maison.

Tres belle villa au calme

Tres belle villa au calme, vu sur les falaises, très agréable, piscine avec jacouzzi c' est excellent, très beau barbecue, Mme Rosa (la femme de ménage) est super sympa, très agréable s' occupe bien de la maison. Dommage qu' il n' y a pas de jardin comme sur les photos, le frigo ne fonctionne pas vraiment ce sont les seuls points négatifs, sinon très bien, belles vacances au calme.

Ruhig gelegenes Ferienhaus mit traumhaftem Blick

Casa Katarina ist hervorragend für einen nicht zu trubeligen Strandurlaub an der Algarve geeignet. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist gut und die Betten bequem. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, wenn auch nicht mehr neu. Kleine Abstriche muss man bei der Küche machen, es gibt leider keine Spülmaschine und wir hätten uns etwas mehr Geschirr gewünscht. Herausragend ist der tolle Blick von der Terrasse mit Abendsonne. Der Pool wird vom Polopfleger gut in Schuss gehalten. Wir bekamen eine sehr nette Betreuung durch die Agentur mit Restaurant- und Strandempfehlungen. Das Zentrum von Luz und den Strand erreicht man in 15 Minuten zu Fuss, viele schöne Strände liegen 10 bis 20 Minuten Autofahrt entfernt. Wir würden das Haus weiterempfehlen!

A perfect villa for a relaxing holiday.

We have been staying at Casa Katarina since 2010. Our last visit was last October but we spend 3 weeks in June -July and then a week in October anually. The villa suits us perfectly with the stunning panoramic views from the balcony and the private pool with its own jacuzzi and the additional sunbathing patio within its own gardens. The location is within walking distance to the shops, bars and of course the fabulous beach. Within the villa there are 3 bedrooms which have french doors opening on the pool area and the master suite has a dressing room and large bathroom en-suite. We look forward to our holidays in the sun in our favourite location and will continue to enjoy the facilities offered by Casa Katarina in future years.
