We love the Islander. This was our 2nd time staying here and we couldn't ask for a better place to vacation. It is very family oriented and right next to the beach. The kids loved the pool & hot tub and the teens loved the pickleball courts. We will be booking here again in the future.

It was clean and had comfortable beds. The pull out was dirty and did not have adequate bedding. It was in a very safe and quiet area.

We just returned from another wonderful stay at The Islander in Destin, FL, and I can't say enough good things about it! This was our second visit, and it absolutely lived up to our memories. The condo was spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated, and the staff went above and beyond with their friendly and helpful service. The decor inside the condo was beautifully done, creating a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to relax. One standout moment was when a staff member from the front desk came up to our room to help me with the television—I didn’t want to miss my favorite program, and that kind of personal attention made our stay even more special. We also loved that the condo provided two beach chairs and an umbrella, and every morning, Allen would greet us and set them up for us on the beach. It was such a nice touch! The location of The Islander is fantastic—safe, convenient, and close to everything you could want for a beach vacation. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great getaway. We're already looking forward to our next visit, and you can bet we'll be staying here again!

We loved the condo and location! The beach access was perfect. My only complaint was that one of the elevators was broken and the other was either very slow and or also not working. Even with this, we will definitely stay again.

Overall Good

Overall the place was good. We had two adults and three children and felt that there was plenty of space for all of us to sleep and relax while in the unit. There are some definite improvements that could be made to the unit (e.g. carpet is very worn and stained, stovetop burners were slanted and difficult to use/cook for evenly, one of the dining table chairs was broken). The property itself was good too. Love that there were two heated pools, beach setup, and activities during the week. The linen exchange was also a nice touch given that there is no in unit washer/dryer. We were there during spring break so getting a spot on the beach was tough and the pools were very crowded but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the vacation. All in all, I would stay at this property again.

Our Exspensive February

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What began as a long awaited time with friends and relatives ended abruptly when we were called home do to a death in our family. ( my stepson). As we had been there for only one week and had paid in full for four weeks. Knowing that we probably would not be compensated I was amazed that I received an email showing that $1218.14 been charged to my credit card without informing me. How unfair and unethical! It has been resolved but we are left with a bad feeling about the Islander.

Great vacation

Property is clean, nice decorations, lots of towels, and amenities. Great location. I want to voice my opinion. The pool area doesn't have good lighting in the evening and night hours. Too dark. Not safe to walk around because of it.
