A perfect cottage
A perfect, peaceful stay in a magical wee cottage. Extremely well equipped and the wee extra special touches just made our stay even better. The location is perfect for exploring rural Aberdeenshire and the coast. Ally & Jason are warm and welcoming hosts and couldn't do enough for us. We will be back and have already recommended the cottage to all of our friends. Thank you so much for sharing your cottage with us.

My name is Ally. Myself and my husband Jason run Deveron Valley Cottages. We live here in eleven acres of beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside We moved here from a hectic life in Swansea South Wales in 2019. It has been a huge learning curve and we are really enjoying giving our guests a happy holiday. If we are not busy with the cottages you will find us in the garden, in the art studio or riding our motorcycles along the beautiful coastal roads. We have recently bought some adjacent land and so have more room to roam with our dog Badger you are welcome to explore too. Jason and I love hosting and making our guests feel at home, we come from a social background having owned pub and worked in hospitality for many years. We try and accommodate any special occasion with decorations or extra special touches .We are open all year round even Christmas and Hogmanay. Looking forward to meeting you. Ally and Jason xx

Why they chose this property

The peace and quiet of the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside, is just gorgeous, just a 20 minute drive from our favorite beach 'Sandend' all the beaches on this coastline are dog friendly and that is very important to us and our furry friends. The wildlife on just our 11acre patch is amazing deer, otters, hares, pine martins and osprey are regularly see epically if you are an early riser. If you want a relaxing time but with lots to do just a short drive away, Deveron Valley Cottages is the place to be.

What makes this property unique

. We have three gorgeous, cosy but spacious cottages including Sunflower Cottage, two log cabins one of which is situated in the woods next to the River. Deveron the other has beautiful view across the countryside All our places have log burners and are centrally heated, well maintained and are equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. We are family friendly and pet friendly. We are situated near to the coastal town of Banff and on the Whisky and Castle Trails, we are only half an hour from the picturesque harbour towns of Portsoy, and Cullen. A trip to the award winning Portsoy Ice-cream shop is well worth a visit! In the other direction is the Cairngorms National Park and The Cabrach region located in rural Moray which is a sparsely populated area ten miles wide by eight miles long consisting of mountainous terrain. It is one of the top thirty most remote zones in mainland Scotland. Aberdeen is only an hour's drive away, while Inverness is 90 minutes away. We are the perfect base for discovering the glorious rural eastern coast of Scotland. Whether you want to go walking, fishing, exploring the rich history of the country, or prefer to relax with a glass of fine whisky and enjoy the peace and beauty of this rural paradise, we have it all!
