La Maison du Contremaître

The Foreman's House is completely independent and offers a surface area of 100 m2. It is accessible from a discreet entrance on the side. At the back, you can enjoy the terrace: sunny during the day, a large parasol is at your disposal to optimize your time; Fully lit, you can enjoy it until late at night. The gîte has a beautiful, functional fireplace in the living room, fuelled by wood logs.

A vaulted cellar, located on the ground floor, and accessible from the house itself, will allow you to enjoy typically atypical candlelight evenings!

The two bedrooms are located on the first floor. The bathroom is adjoining and has an integrated toilet (the second toilet is on the ground floor and is independent).

The gîte sleeps 4 people:

One of the two bedrooms has a 160 x 200 bed, and the other has twin beds (90 x 190) which can easily make a double bed: 180 x 180. The bedding is of a high quality to preserve good health at night.

A magnificent cellar room has been fitted out to allow you to organise some exceptional evenings. By candlelight, for a chilled aperitif or to taste the wines you have found during the day... this space is at the disposal of your creativity!
The cellar is accessible from the outside as well as from the inside (electric glass door and staircase).

Located in the heights of the charming village of Chevroches (58 - Nièvre), at the gates of Clamecy, the Domaine des Carriers overlooks the roofs of Burgundy, the Canal du Nivernais and plunges our eyes into the horizon made of the last hills of the Morvan. This vast space includes a large building with 4 luxurious bedrooms and common rooms (a small living room, a kitchen open to a breakfast room), an independent gîte with two bedrooms (La Maison du Contremaître) and a second small and charming gîte with one bedroom (La Maison des Compagnons). Several gardens and terraces are also available for visitors. Free wifi access is available, as well as free private parking for guests of the estate. From family reunions to quiet retreats, Domaine des Carriers offers a variety of options to ensure your stay is a success.

Take advantage of our infinity pool, with a panoramic view of the Nivernais canal, the roofs of Chevroches and the foothills of the Morvan. Relax in an idyllic setting, surrounded by beautiful vegetation and restful calm. Heated swimming pool, for private use and reserved for the guests of the gîtes and guest rooms. Open from 9 am to 8 pm. 12 metres long and 5 metres wide. Closed from 1 October to 1 May 2023.
