Middleton Cottage Near Carsington Reservoir

A cosy cottage with lovely original features including feature stone wall and beautiful exposed beams. Located in the courtyard at Knockerdown and just a short walk away from the beautiful Carsington Water. The towns of Ashbourne and Wirksworth are just a 10 minute drive away and also in easy reach of Chatsworth House and Alton Towers. All cottages at our holiday village can make use of the indoor heated swimming pool and games room.

Family bathroom.
The lounge area has a TV & DVD player and soft seating for four guests.

Dining area with table and 4 chairs.

The kitchen is well equipped for all your self catering needs and includes a cooker, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glasses and utensils.

All bedrooms have ample drawer and hanging space.

One hairdryer is provided.

The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, WC and wash basin.

Outdoor seating.

A high chair (without straps) is available upon request.

The rates include WIFI, heating, bed linen and two fresh towels per person per stay.

On site shared facilities include:

Indoor heated swimming pool, outdoor children's play area, games room with table tennis table, pool table and football table (1 x £1 coin required for pool and football table), large meadow with beautiful views and a laundry room (offering a coin operated washing machine and tumble dryer). Bicycle rack and bicycle repair station.

Great location near Matlock

The cottage is a mid terrace. Very compact but homely and very clean. Lovely site especially for families with the additional facilities. There is however a lot more road noise than I expected. The traditional door fittings are lovely but very noisy and the bathroom would be better served with an ordinary lock. Overall though a very enjoyable stay.
