This light and airy house is located in a wonderfully private rural spot, surrounded by beautiful views, hills, fields and woodland tracks, and a stream running down the valley below. It is about halfway between Denbigh and Ruthin in the Vale of Clwyd. It is perfect for off-road dog walks and bike rides directly from the door. It is approximately 45 minutes’ drive to Chester, Llandudno, and Betws-y-Coed.
The well-equipped kitchen has an American fridge/freezer with ice & chilled water on tap, a Redfyre (like an Aga), a Neff oven, a dishwasher, kettle and microwave.
As well as the open plan sitting, dining & kitchen area, there is a separate cosy sitting room so that children could tuck themselves away watching a film while the adults have dinner. There is a television in each of the two sitting rooms, and good Wifi. The main sitting area also has a wood burning stove.
There is no mobile phone reception as the house is in a dip, but once you’re connected to the Wifi all is well.
There are 3 bedrooms which can comfortably sleep 6.
Bedroom 1 has a superking bed, with en-suite bathroom which has a double-ended bath, separate shower, two sinks and a loo.
Bedroom 2 has a zip-and-link superking bed, which can be split and set up as two singles.
The third bedroom contains two single beds.
The separate upstairs bathroom has a loo, sink and a walk-in shower.
Linen and towels are all included.
The house has a large garden with lots of steps, different levels and walls with no barriers to the drop - so please be aware if bringing small children - they’ll need supervision. There is plenty of outdoor space for sitting/dining, with a fire pit and gas barbecue.
In the winter months (late Oct - end of Jan) there is a pheasant shoot on the estate and sometimes the fields close to the house are used for it. I will of course let you know which days to expect it.
House Rules:
- Check-in time is 4:00pm and check-out is 10:00am.
- Smoking is not allowed.
- There are on-site parking facilities available at the property.
- Dogs are allowed at the property. There is a spacious utility room with dog beds and washing machine & tumble dryer. Please keep dogs downstairs and if they are wet after a walk please dry them off. The garden has a cattle grid entrance and although it is fully fenced around the perimeter, a determined dog might be able to get out across the cattle grid or squeeze through gaps in the perimeter.
