This is a natural setting with a lot of peace and beauty. all of your creature comforts are met, and the cabin felt cozy and safe as well. Bring your water shoes or creek shoes and swim every day. It's warm! The house has all amenities & the beds are very comfortable. All the beds are large like king or queen. Great hot tub. Richard was a great host as well. We'll be back and thank you Richard for a great week in Tennessee /this cabin is in the sweet spot of the Smokies I think.( I hate to advertise ha ha) Sara

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Loved the sound of the river and the coziness of the cabin, especially the fireplace.
This property is exactly as pictured. It is very roomy, and beautifully furnished. The water and mountain view was just what we were wanted. We met the owner and he was really nice and quickly responded to emails before our arrival.
A very tranquil place to stay! Our host was amazing! Check-in was seamless. Beds & pillows were like sleeping on clouds. Host has the hot tub drained after each group leaves so it was pristine (I usually skeptical of cleanliness of hot tubs but, no worries here!)
Great location and well stocked kitchen! We enjoy preparing big family meals while on vacation and this cabin is well stocked to meet the challenge. Great location on the river too!
I wasn’t sure how we would get the key. I just happened to check the box that held the key and it was unlocked. I was expecting a code. The cabin was great. We’ve been here before.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The Rustic Cabin was very nice. It actually snowed while we were there and it was so Awesome for my Grandkids. Loved the fact it was so close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the National Park yet far enough away from the crowds and chaos. We would definetly stay again.
We arrived an hour early and the house was ready for us despite being ahead of schedule. Communication with the owner was excellent. The house location and the town of Townsend was perfect for our family. Loved everything about our stay at the The Fishing Hole.
It has been almost 30 years since I last visited Townsend. Staying at the "Fishin Hole" Cabin was like returning home. The cabin, the setting and all the amenities were spot on. Thank you for the wonderful stay and we will be returning hopefully each year! Absolutely the best vacation spot in The Smokies!
This cabin was an amazing experience and we’ll be back. Clean, beautiful place with great fire pit, very comfy beds, and nice quiet location. We had a very minor issue come up that I reached out to the owner on and he was there the next night fixing it. And was a great person to talk with. Next time in Townsend, no question we’ll stay here again!
We loved staying at the Fishin' Hole Cabin! The cabin was spacious, on a river where we could do some fishing (which was not only beautiful but also convenient), clean, and equipped with all we needed for a relaxing and fun stay. Richard is a great host, was responsive, and knowledgeable about the area. As far as location, right outside the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain Natl. Park. There are also walking trails around town and some great restaurants close by. Can't be beat for a vacation home!
