We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. The inside was clean and had everything we needed. We spent more time outside enjoying the creek. It was the perfect spot to sit and cool off while listening to the rushing water. It was also close to activities in Pigeon Forge. We will definitely be back.

Pigeon Forge

The house was conveniently located with many attractions just 10 -15 minutes away. It was easy to get in and out which was a plus for my elderly mother. The house was clean and provided plenty of room for the five of us.

Great family get away

This is a fabulous property for a family. The creek and fire pit right out the back door are very relaxing. We felt like we were out in the middle of no-where but only a 5 minute drive to the Parkway. Would go back to stay again.

Nice overall

Nice little cabin. Flowing creek and fire pit was nice. Only complaint is very minimal and would not hinder me from staying again. Several lights not working. And several doors need adjusting for proper operation.

Great quiet and easy access.

The pictures don’t do the cabin justice. This is a great retreat from the hotels and traffic. It has 4 br for the family but we came alone on this trip. We loved bbq by the stream. Would love to come back in the summer. The roads would be good for winter snow, no steep climbs.

Was very unpleased about the hidden damage deposit. Blew my mind. That should be posted on the fee page of the listing.

My stay!!

We loved the house as it was big enough for our family to spend Thanksgiving. There were a couple of things that I feel would make the home more pleasurable and is needed even tho we loved it. The kitchen pots and pans were not good at all. There needs to be updated skillets and pots and pans. My plan was to cook Thanksgiving dinner there but we went out to eat because there was no way I could have prepared that large of a meal. Also, the sliding door between the living room and screened porch needs some work. I could barely open it as an adult so it was aggravating to open each time for the kids. Otherwise the place is perfect and in a great location.

Hot tub doesn’t work properly/ no exhaust fan, creek good

To start out they sent the door code to get into to the cabin to the wrong phone number. So when we arrived we had to call and she let me know it was sent to the wrong phone number …..this was just the start of it Don’t book if you want to use hot tubNo pressure from jets, No bubbles it’s likes sitting in a warm bathtub.. Temp will either be warm or scorching hot 119 and then shut off.it was also very dirty and sandy inside hot tub wasn’t cleaned like it states it is cleaned and emptied after every guest. The fan in bathroom doesn’t work at all, and I remember someone else saying the same thing so they don’t go and make sure everything is in working order before the next guest. Light for stovetop under microwave didn’t work and light bulbs in light over table were unscrewed . There was also no toilet paper holder in bathroom.. it was just on the floor. Paint chipping and coming off in bathroom. Bugs in front bedrooms. The bottle opener was broken and bent so had nothing to open bottles with. I just don’t understand how a property management company doesn’t check these basic items After each guests leaves. We had to contact the property management company several times, they did show up but was told the hot tub is old… then why advertise a hot tub of it doesn’t work properly. I don’t recommend I have never stayed at a rental cabin and have had issue after issue

Cabin was ok for what we used it for but some basic supplies would have been nice.

Cabin worked for us for the most part, it is smaller than expected and not much space to move around. Pictures on VRBO are out dated and do not accurately show the current furniture and setup on the cabin. Was disappointed the hammock was no longer in the back yard. But the biggest disappointment with the cabin is for the amount we paid for it and that some basic supplies were not provided as in garbage bags, there was one extra bag for the whole five days we were there, the garbage pails in the back of the house were half full before we got there so our garbage overflowed those. There was a roll and a half of toilet pager in each bathroom. There was one washcloth and one hand towel for the kitchen and a note in the bathroom telling you not to use those wash clothes for anything other than makeup removal. Only six towels in each bathroom for nine people for five days. Yes there was a washer and dryer but would have had to buy laundry soap etc to wash them each day. The upper bunch bed only had a sheet for a blanket and no extra blankets throughout the house. Would have been nice to have some throws for sitting around in the living room as well. The ice trays that were filled in the freezer had old ice in them were filthy dirty. Thought there would be some simple games at the cabin and the games that were there were in pieces in the foot ottoman and no idea if all the pieces were there. I have rented many houses and some other basic things like salt and pepper, aluminum foil and similar items like that are usually in the cupboards but this cabin had no extras. Again, we felt for the price we paid a little more detail could have been given to the smaller details. If you plan on utilizing the cabin more as a hotel and basically to sleep this may be for you. But if you want to use it for more than that plan ahead as much as you can because the basics are not provided and things are expensive in Pigeon Forge! I will not be back to this cabin. Kinda disappointed 😔

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin but there are a couple of things it could use. There are no towel bars in the bathrooms although one has some hooks. End tables would be an improvement and the hot tub needs someone to look at it. It did not heat up over 95 degrees the whole week we were there. It did not stop us from going in but more heat would have been nice. The people at Maple Ridge are the BEST! They care about their renters and we really appreciated that!! We had a flooding issue and they checked on us at that time and all through our vacation.

I love the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and all that the area has to offer. We visit at least once a month and always feel refreshed when we return home. My daughter attends college in the area and we have always called Pigeon Forge our second home. I look forward to retiring to the area.

Why they chose this property

This property is located just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. There is a meandering creek just steps from the back door, with sounds and views of the water from the deck. Located on Waldens' Creek Rd less than 1 mile from city limits of Pigeon Forge. You have the quiet serenity of the country but only minutes to action packed Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We have an oversized yard with plenty of room for yard activities and chairs around the fire pit.

What makes this property unique

Away from the hustle and traffic but still less than 8 minutes to all attractions. We love to spend late nights out by the creek with a roaring fire in the fire pit, surrounded by the moon and stars. The fire flies on early summer nights remind me of long ago days spent on our grandparents farm.
