Beachcomber Holiday Apartments are situated 100 meters from the beach, and the South West Coastal Path runs past the front door.

From the beach, you can walk in any direction and within five minutes, you can be walking in the beautiful Purbeck countryside. If you love walking in amazing countryside for hours on end without seeing another soul, you will love walking down here. We should say at this point that there also some great refreshment stops!

From Beachcomber Holiday Apartments, you can walk over the hill to Studland or along the ridgeway to Corfe Castle. One of our favourite walks has to be along the ridgeway to Corfe Castle, a refreshment stop and then the Steam Railway back to Swanage. There are so many walks and all so different. The thing that they all have in common is that you really are never that far away from seeing or hearing the sea.

The seaside town of Swanage offers a wide range of pubs, restaurants and cafes to suit all budgets and tastes.

great location, close to the beach, and parking on siteairy rooms with okay furniture (mostly ikea, but some nice furnishings).'garden view' only from the minor bedroom; the rest of the apartment is on the roadside. people in double decker buses passing can see eye to eye with you.kitchen does not have everything it needs. appliances are old and and sometimes in need of a good deep clean or replacement. Could easily be updated to what it needs though.Bathroom is old and has two types of mold. Hot water needs to be gained through a customised process; not a problem for us but not what one might expect.Landlady was mostly kind and helpful but a lot of things we felt to be normal to consider included for the price were then first said to 'not (be) in the terms and conditions' (like an extra mattress sheet after spilling something on the bed, or asking for two towels for three people on the first morning). More stress on holiday instead of less.Not very family friendly either; first message mentioned our 4.5 year old son, and after collecting full payment we were told on the first morning that there is a 'no children under 5 year old policy and I heard him running'. Policy not called upon after mentioning or in reservation, only after arrival.Would not recommend in this state, but after some changes (new mattresses, sofas, kitchen appliances, shower door and a deep clean) could become a great place to stay again.

Nice Apartment in a good location

The long weekend was for visiting the Swanage Folk Festival , this apartment we stayed in is ideal and walking into town is no problem , We were able to relax eat and drink as we wanted and the weather was good .

Lovely apartment in a great location

The apartment was very spacious and the kids loved having their own room. The facilities were great and the hosts quick to respond when I had a question. The Easter treats left outside the door were a lovely surprise.

Alternatively, you may park at roadside parking around the area or choose the long-stay car park (North Beach Car Park) which is only 1 minute away from Beachcomber. If you are travelling via bus, you can go on the Breezer 50 from Bournemouth to Swanage. Please ask the bus driver to drop you off at the Crows Nest Inn. Beachcomber is only two doors down from that pub. Less hassle as the property has contactless-entry. Key safes are just outside the property door. Access instructions will be sent prior to arrival. No ground floor flat available and access to flats/rooms is via staircase only. Beddings and toiletries will be provided, but please note that we do not provide towels for flats.
