I was extremely pleased when I arrived at the setting, and once inside expectations were met.

The location of the lodges were stunning and extremely peaceful. Whilst looking up at the vineyards you could also see lots of wildlife. The facilities were excellent and everything was very clean. A well thought out lodge.

Fantastic Weekend Away

We were given wine tour vouchers by our niece and nephew for Christmas. We booked a lodge for the weekend to enjoy a mini break. The accommodation is perfect, homely, clean and tidy and has fantastic views on the vine yard, with everything you need supplied. The staff are amazing, especially Ellen, who catered for my dietary needs. We've decided to come back for another weekend for father in-laws 80th birthday

Peaceful.

We enjoyed the tranquility whilst being close to amenities. We requested a pet free lodge and were therefore disappointed to find a comment in the guest book form a guest stating they had a great holiday with their dog !

A real treat. Very enjoyable location and accommodation

Very straight forward checkin. Lovely accommodation. Appears newly built, very clean and nice decor. Really comfortable beds. The location is secluded with only 6 lodges that are have privacy from each other and peaceful. Great location for exploring the local area. Welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Lodges in a very serene and beautiful area

Beautiful location within a vineyard. Very good Bistro on site (open 5 days). Well laid out Lodge and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful stay. Bring what you need to the Lodge for your own comfort. Very clean in general, however the sheets on the single beds were not very clean. Would recommend staying here.

A lovely lodge which is a great standard. Relaxing stay had by all.

The accommodation and facilities are a great standard. We were attending a wedding local so didn’t spend much time at the Vineyard, but we will be back for a relaxing weekend in the future to soak up the vineyard tours and the lovely food on offer. We had breakfast on a Saturday, there was 11 of us, and the food was a very good standard. Thank you, see you again.

Fabulous location, very quiet. Clean and well equipped. Comfy beds

We liked the peace and quiet. Well located to get to the nearby places. The breakfast in the cafe was very good. The communication was very good and timely. Well equipped with most things you, including iron, fans and Netflix. Convenient cleaning kit was appreciated. It would be useful to have sale/pepper and perhaps cooking oil to save buying that for a short stay.

Beautiful lodges in a lovely setting - the perfect relaxing long weekend.

Our lodge had everything we needed and was warm and cosy despite the chilly weather. The vineyard guided tour was excellent as was the wine tasting! Our inclusive meals were extremely good and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our roast dinner on Sunday was superb. The standards were high and it was definitely worth the money and good value.

Old Walls Vineyard was established in 2002 by Mr & Mrs Dawe to produce German grapes for wine production, just like the Romans once did some 1500 years ago. The vineyard has been family run since then with Paul (Mrs Dawe's son) taking up the resident vintners position in 2018 when Old Walls was bought out by investors to allow the Dawe's to retire and enjoy the vineyard. However, Mr Dawe is still heavily involved in the winery side of the business and can often be found in the winery labelling bottles and also still hosts wine tours regularly.
