A comfortable home away from home

We loved this place - it was very close to the beach, had a lovely aspect and just felt comfortable and cosy. The kitchen is well-equipped, the backyard is a private corner to soak up the sun and the property manager Jonas was immensely helpful and efficient.

Great location, but house could do with lots of TLC

Host was really nice and helped straight away when we had a problem with the tv. Just five minute walk from the beach and 15-20 minute walk to town centre, the location was great with added bonus of a parking space on the drive, Just about enough space for a car (van or pickup wouldn’t fit) First impressions not brilliant, lots of cigarette butts at the entrance. Walking into property, it smelt stale. Went out and bought some air fresheners to use throughout the house. Kitchen had everything you need but could do with a deep clean. Used the dishwasher straight away as crockery felt grubby. It came out of the dishwasher exactly the same. Spent 30 minutes clearing inches of gunk and debris from the filter which could do with some time cleaning. Just a good scrub and a dishwasher cleaner inside would probably sort it. Basically clean but a bit of detailing wouldn’t go amiss like the oven and grill, it gets a wipe over but you can barely see through the glass. Needed foil on grill rack as rack had burnt on. Beds were clean and comfortable. No shelf for toiletries in bathroom. Bath very deep so not easy to get in and out for shower. Shower head all limescaled and bath panel broke with sharp edge. Radiator in bathroom all peeled and rusty and too close to toilet so when heating is on, it burns your thigh. We enjoyed our stay but could have been better inside the house. Too many things to mention that need work or replacing. Nice quiet place and we slept well.
