An idyllic escape for anyone that enjoys the peace and tranquility of woodland and canal walks.

Steve and Elaine are the best hosts! A really friendly and couple who go over and above to make your stay so comfortable and welcome. We always find somewhere new to visit or explore when we go to Whatsandwell, everything is either a walk, a train ride or a short drive away. We look forward to going to stay every year. Thank you.

It's a truly idyllic location with friendly, helpful owners.

It is an incredible location with a gorgeous walk to the train station and bus stop, and easy access to other longer walks, though on this occasion we weren't able to explore those. As non-car owners, it's well connected to the other villages and towns around. Steve and Elaine were very welcoming and helpful. It was beautifully clean and didn't smell of dog at all, which is sometimes the case when places allow dogs to stay.

Very peaceful and enjoyable stay

The accommodation was top class, with every amenity available. It was set in a lovely location and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The road winding down to the accommodation was a little testing but was manageable. A beautiful place to stay both the accommodation and the surroundings.

Lovely picturesque area and grounds. Very peaceful, quiet location. Plenty of things to do just a short walk away. Great accommodation. Loved the use of the log burner. Plenty of logs to get us though the cool nights. Great weekend. Will be returning in the future.

Hosts that were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure you enjoyed your stay. Excellent facilities of a very high standard with personal touches making you feel at home. We Made great use of The log burner which was lovely to settle down to with a glass of wine after a days walking. A unique property split on three floors right next to Cromford canal

Wonderful location, lovely people, beautiful property.

Everything was excellent. The property was easy to find and we were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Although we didn't have any queries we were made to feel as though we could ask for anything if needed. The property itself is lovely and very well equipped, with a really useful folder explaining wifi set up etc. There are views of the lovely garden and canal from all windows and interesting and scenic walks directly from the property. We loved the peaceful setting.

What a Lovely place

Robin Hood Tower is a lovely place to stay. We were greeted by Steve who showed us round the Tower and gave us some pointers on the appliances and tips on how to get the best out of the logs burner. He then showed us round his beautiful garden and invited us to use it whenever we wanted. There was a lovely welcome pack of milk, eggs bread etc including logs and lighters. The Tower really is a home from home, in a perfect location. Have already recommended it to friends and will be going back.
