Our gorgeous view of the Atlantic and Skull Inlet is seen from the veranda, family room, and remodeled kitchen! The reversed floor plan puts the living area on the top floor to maximize the ocean view. The house has four covered verandas (one off each bedroom and one off family room). The master bedroom's veranda can be your private grotto with a jetted tub and privacy foliage.

Two-minute walk to Cabana Club's three pools, restaurant, Salon, and Day Spa, (our view also overlooks the kiddie pool) and Camp Fripp (seasonal, but Activity Center is open year-round), which offers special arts and crafts and outdoor activities for kids. A beautiful nature trail is across the street from our front door and leads to Skull Inlet-pier perfect for fishing and wildlife viewing. Ocean Creek and Ocean Point Golf Courses are just minutes away. Rental includes the use of our 6-seater golf cart/low-speed vehicle. Fripp Island Resort Club cards (up to 6) are included with your rental.

Perfect location!

This was our second time at Fripp. We fell in love last year. The island is beautiful! The beach house was great. The location on the island is perfect. It is near everything but still felt quiet. The ocean views from the house were amazing. Having use of the golf cart was so really nice. The boys really liked the bunk room. It has everything that you would need. The communication was great! Highly recommend!

Fripp Island Trip

We all had a fantastic family beach week on Fripp Island, Grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren. There was something for everyone! Our little grandchildren enjoyed everything about the island starting with the golf cart community, deer they could feed, going up for ice cream every night, have different amazing pools for all ages, games, close proximity the beach club, the activity center and all the fun things for children and the adults loved having a bar and soft music on the lawn while the kids played.

The location and views were amazing - it was so relaxing to have coffee or a cocktail on the balcony and easy to get to the cabana pool and activity center! This rental has some nice extras as well: the homeowner was wonderful to work with and the six-seater golf cart is fast with sturdy seatbelts.

Great Family Vacay Spot

The house was beautifully updated, centrally located (near golf course, cabana pool, fishing pier, and short golf cart drive to beach), and perfect for our family of five. Beautiful ocean views, stocked kitchen, and a SIX-seater golf cart! The house is also located on a quiet dead-end street. We were thrilled with our choice.

Beautiful house with beautiful view

Location is perfect for families. Located so close to the Cabana pool that you can walk there. Also walking distance from the activity center. The view from the porch off the living room is fantastic and the house has everything you need. We will be staying there again. Loved it!

Perfect for families

This was our second visit to Fripp and we enjoyed it so much, we didn't want to leave! Our first visit we stayed at the Captain John Fripp villas, so it was nice to have our own private home this time around. The home was in a great location, as it was within walking distance to the Cabana pools and only a short drive to the beach access stops. We also liked that it was on a dead-end street, which made for a quiet week. The home itself is well-maintained, and the furniture was nice and comfortable - perfect for our family of 7 with young children. The golf cart was a true necessity on Fripp, as it made parking a non-issue on the island, as there are always plenty of spots to park the carts, but not always easy to find spots for cars. This amenity alone made it worth choosing this property! The owners are especially gracious and very good at communication. We had an issue with the golf cart at the beginning of our stay, and they went over and above trying to get things rectified and it ended up being a non-issue because of their efforts! The home itself is very comfortable, and made staying there with 5 kids easy and fun. The littles even were able to take advantage of having their nightly bath in the tub on the deck! The charcoal grill and stocked kitchen made it easy to cook dinner at home every night. It was also lots of fun for everyone to take a drive in the golf cart for a nice after-dinner ride, and get ice cream with the kids, too. And our most favorite part was listening to and watching the ocean waves on the top deck after the kids went to bed. Wonderful perk! Overall, I would highly recommend this property! Great vacation spot!

This is a great property! We were just steps away from one of the pools located on the island and a golf cart ride to one of the many beach access locations (about a 5 minute drive on the cart). The beds were very comfortable and the home has been recently updated and is very nice! One thing to note, the number of relatively steep stairs that must be climbed to get in and then to get to the kitchen/living area. We had 3 older adults with us who had a hard time with all of those stairs and I wish I had paid more attention to that detail when we rented. Another note is the creative electrical work in the kitchen. The microwave is hidden in the pantry, however a light switch, hidden on the wall to the left of the fridge, has to be flipped in order to use it. The overhead kitchen light switch is also on that wall, it took us a couple of days to find. A map of how to turn on the lights would have been helpful. Another frustrating item was the larger pantry/washer/dryer location. There are doors there, but there is another door that opens in front of it with a prop on it to hold it open. With nothing to hold the prop in place and it was very frustrating when doing laundry or getting things out of the pantry as it kept falling down and all of the doors got in the way. Housekeeping may need to be reevaluated. Had to hunt down towels, no starter trash bags, bunk bed my daughter was in had crumbs in sheets when we arrived. Golf cart very dirty as well. Wonderful place overall!

Beautiful view, house needs cleaning and TLC

Positives: beautiful view on a shady veranda with comfy outdoor furniture! Enough space and beds for everyone. The golf cart is nice. Improvements needed: The house needs a deep cleaning. It’s dirty. The shower in the master has a spongy floor, as does the bedroom in places. We had to wait over an hour to check in because the cleaning crew couldn’t get into the house. At this price point, excuses are not acceptable. The family room tv has a pitiful signal and you can’t even sign into apps. We were finally able to use chrome cast but the stream stopped every 5-10 minutes. The refrigerator has a hard time keeping up, and the coffee maker leaves a lot of coffee grounds in the coffee. While the golf cart is nice, the additional luxury would have been well spent on other items.

Perfect place to stay at Fripp

We've stayed at several places in Fripp, and this one was our favorite! It was comfortable, clean, and well stocked. The deck was especially appreciated, as you could sit for hours and watch the tide come and go and the waves crash in the distance. Great communication with owners too! We would love to return in the future.

We had a great stay. The house was spacious and comfortable for the 4 of us. While we had expected to find bathroom soaps, only hand soap was supplied. It would help to know what is supplied as remote as the island is. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed. It would be helpful to have some sort of sticker on the sliding door, as we did have a run-in with it. We loved seeing the wildlife right outside our door and watching the tides. The golf cart is fabulous!

Perfect Beach Getaway

We love Fripp and this was a great place to stay while visiting the island. You can't beat the view. We loved having our meals on the deck while watching the waves. I would definitely recommend the house.

Excellent Fripp house!

We enjoyed our first time to Fripp and will definitely be back! The house is in a great location to the pools, beach and fishing. Good communication with the owners as well. The golf cart was an amazing addition that allowed us to explore the island and get to the beach quickly. We were very pleased with all the house had to offer and would stay here again!

Hello Travelers! We are a family of five who fell in love with Fripp Island and felt we had to own a part of it. It has been our family's special getaway since 2006 and we hope to enjoy it for many years to come. I am an AP Literature teacher in Georgia and my husband is a business owner and a musician. Our Fripp Island property is our only vacation rental.

Our picture shows us on a family photo scavenger hunt on Fripp in 2006. We almost won!

Why they chose this property

Of all the coastal locations we could have invested in, we chose Fripp because of its timeless attractions: nature preservation and family activities. The island has all the modern amenities: two incredible golf courses, excellent tennis courts, great restaurants and beautiful pools. But it was the personal contact with nature and the activity staff on Fripp that sold us. I don't know of any other place where my kids can catch fiddler crabs all morning, have lunch with a few deer, go shelling on the 'Fripper', and then have Kids' Night Out at Camp Fripp. The greatest thing about Fripp is that as a mother of three, I feel my children are safe to explore the world on Fripp (the island is gated, the Camp Fripp and Activity Center staff are perfect and our home is on a dead end street so no through traffic while they are playing.) Also on Fripp, the kids can get out and explore the coastal tides and nature trails instead of playing video games all day. I feel that we can teach our kids about nature and ocean life in real life not just reading about it in a book or watching it on TV. Neighboring islands like Pritchard's and Hunting were also super bonuses because Pritchard's is an uninhabited wildlife preserve and Hunting is a state park with a historic lighthouse and preserved homesite. Older kids and parents may kayak over to Pritchard's Island for exploration of untouched nature.

What makes this property unique

In our home, we enjoy the best of both worlds. Our incredible ocean view enables us to watch for dolphins while washing the dishes or just rocking on the veranda! We can enjoy a rare Atlantic sunset from our windows and then have family movie night on our 55" flat screen TV. We chose our location on Fripp because we are within 100 yards of everything a family needs access to: Camp Fripp, the Cabana Club's 3 pools, restaurant, and salon, the Skull Inlet pier (perfect for fishing, crabbing or just watching the sunset), the Activity Center (where they have many animals, arts and crafts, and daily planned activities like family scavenger hunts) and the 12th hole of the Ocean Creek Golf Course (an easy walk over to meet your golfers while they play.)
