Welcome to our Apartment Rabat 16 in Oasis de Capistrano, Nerja!



The apartment is centrally located in the popular Oasis de Capistrano in Nerja, 50 km east of Malaga. (45 mins by car or bus)



The apartment is a charming 2 bedroom apartment with room for a total of 5 people. The apartment is newly refurbished and has a modern kitchen and spacious bathroom. Terrace is generous and has sun from morning to evening and a stunning mountain and sea views. The terrace location also provides views out over the Oasis de Capistrano’s tropical garden, with palm trees and flowers, as well as two of the area’s total of 3 pools. There is a well equipped modern kitchen and a nice living room with large 46 inch TV and cozy fireplace.



Nerja is an authentic and charming town with great views of mountains and sea. There is everything from good food, culture, and small hidden beaches and cozy mountain villages. The area offers beautiful scenery where you can both hike, bike, climb, dive, etc.. Nerja is also only 1.5 hours from the ski resort of Sierra Nevada. There are also excellent golf courses nearby. In other words, there is something for everyone in Nerja!



Oasis de Capistrano, where the apartment is located has a grand beautiful tropical garden which leads many to return year after year.



DIRECTIONS

Directions from Malaga airport to the apartment at the address Rabat 16, Nerja.



1. You drive from Malaga Airport and on the highway E-15 in the direction of Almeria, Motril. Here follow the signs through the entire Malaga, you now have a 45-minute drive to Nerja

2. When you see the first signs “Nerja” wait to turn off the highway until the last exit, you shall turn of at exit 929.

Here, you follow the sign “Nerja”.

3. You arrive in Nerja and the first roundabout in Nerja, on your left side you see the Oasis de Capistrano area(signposted). Here, you drive 300 degrees around in the roundabout and follow the signs Oasis de Capsitrano.

4. You will now enter the Oasis de Capistrano area, this road is one-way and shaped like a horseshoe (starts with the Taxi zone 5 and go to the Taxi zone 1). You follow the road through the entire horseshoe first down the hill and then up the hill back to the taxi zone 1 and going up the hill on your right you will see clearly now the apartment, you will also see a sign with the number 16 over the terrace door.

5. You park your car in the “Taxi zone 1”, from here you can see a staircase down on your right, follow this down and then take the first right. Follow the path and then turn left, then you have the apartment straight ahead. You find a key safe to the left of the terrace door. This you open with your four-digit code that you received in the booking confirmation.

Apartment was great, we had minor issues getting into the apartment but the hosts swiftly helped rectify. Only downfall is location and access to Nerja, very hilly and difficult with a 2 year old, car was essential but that'a totally out of the owners hands 🙂.

Great Location in clean and well equipped apartment

Amazing tropical outlook

We know the various Capistrano urbanisations in Nerja well and we used to own one in Capistrano Village. The outlook from Frederik's balcony is amazing and better than any we have stayed in previously. We experienced no problems whatsoever during our stay and we can highly recommend this property to others

Winter stay

Our stay here was very nice. The unit is exactly as shown in photos. It is well appointed… we especially appreciated the comfortable beds and extra touches like the grocery trolley & umbrella. As in many places in Spain, there are lots of stairs to get to the unit so this may need to be considered if someone has mobility issues. Likewise, it is a 15-20 walk to the beach and steep grades to get there. Overall, we loved this place and would gladly return in the future.

Pure Enjoyment

The apartment is Ideal for couples. Private sun bathing. 3 swimming pools. Excellent views of the tropical gardens. A 25 minute walk into Nerja for all shopping and restaurants / coffee shops. Only 15 minute walk to Mercadona supermarket. No need for a car and local bus service and taxis available. Kitchen and Patio great for alfresco dinning, but some great restaurants in Nerja - el Ninos, La Bottega and Vitaliano da Christina all highly recommended.

Lovely stay

A lovely apartment with all the facilities we needed. The Oasis de Capistrano is a well-maintained resort with beautiful tropical gardens and great pool areas. There are a lot of steps to the property so not for those wiith mobility limitations but we enjoy a walk and enjoyed strolling down to the Balcony of Europe (beautiful and popular viewpoint) area where bars and restaurants are. We would often get a taxi back. We didn't hire a car and found we could manage happily without one. The local supermarket is just 10 minutes away and we also enjoyed a lovely meal at the Deolinda restaurant which is very close to the complex. Fredrik was very helpful and easy to communicate with. There was a slight issue with the key lock box when we first arrived at the property, but Fredrik was easy to get hold of by phone and it was easily sorted out with just a phone call. Our daughters are older teens/ early 20s and enjoyed the Burriana beach. We also enjoyed a lovely day out in Malaga going around the centro historico which is an hour away by bus from Nerja bus station The buses were easy to use and way better than in the UK. A great area for a holiday.

As a family of 4 with 2 young children we enjoyed a very relaxed stay in this lovely apartment. Oasis de capistrano is a well maintained complex with lovely pools which wasn't overly busy even in the height of summer. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped - it had everything we needed for our stay. It was very easy to access from the airport by car. Nerja is a great location for families, Burriana beach is beautiful and has lots of lovely restaurants and shops, it's easy to spend either a lovely day or evening there. The balcon de Europa was also lovely, there's a small restaurant right underneath called rey alfonso where we had a lovely paella, which had beautiful views. We had a lovely holiday here and would love to return. It comes highly recommended.

Oasis Winter

We had a really lovely 2 month stay in this apartment. Communication and booking process was excellent. We needed extra bedding for the longer let and this was provided instantly. We were comfortable and found the kitchen adequate for our needs, as we tend to spend a lot of time eating in at the apartments we rent, long term. One thing to note, there are lots of steps to the apartment, it kept us fit. As older renters, it was a disadvantage over a longer period but the owners have a very useful large shopping trolley, great for carrying bottles of water, etc. The supermarket is about a 10/15 minute walk away, a real bonus. The outside furniture is a little tired but functional. We like the Oasis de Capistrano urbanisation for its tranquility and beautifully gardens.

Great 1st visit to Nerja

I dont normally leave a review, just thought this would help. The location is beautiful, complex is clean & well kept. Pool snack bar was never open. Beds are 2€ each to hire, no inflatables are allowed in the pool. We found the smaller pool across the road nice to use, often quiet. No beds available there! The complex is very hilly, steps to the apartment. If you walk into Brianna you will have a hilly hike back. We are active people, so was ok with this. Old town Nerja is around 1.3 mile walk each way. The apartment was clean and the host easy to contact. We arrived at 12.30 at night and are used to having at least a bit of milk for a brew. Minimal loo roll, no hand wash. Just a few little things, hubby went to the shop first thing. Some items in the kitchen are a bit tired and should be replaced. The handle on the frying pan was very lose and did fall off in my hand whilst using it. Melted handles on the knives, couldnt find a chopping board. Shower has a mind of its own and you do battle trying to get it to stay in place whilst trying to wash, tray gets very slippy and needs a non slip mat. My husband did slip but managed to catch the handle. Previous reviews referred to the outdoor furniture being worn, not just sun damaged, cracked. This does need replacing. I took photos. Host recommended Malaga Car Hire. These were brilliant, would use again. We did have a relaxing stay here, just a few changes needed in my opinion.

En mycket trevlig lägenhet med all utrustning man behöver under en semestervistelse. En skön terrass med sol i stort sett hela dagen. Området Oasis Capistrano har en underbar trädgård och sköna pooler. Som dem flesta andra pooler är dem inte uppvärmda och i november är det ca 18 grader. In och utcheckning fungerade perfekt och vid behov/frågor var det enkelt och snabbt att få kontakt med värdarna Fredrik och Ulrika! Kan varmt rekommenderas.

Todo muy bien, la limpieza todo ordenado y como se esperaba, tuvimos un problema con utensilios de cocina y la comunicación fue correcta, la única pega quizás es el horario de piscina muy corto y pensado para turismo inglés, entiendo que la situación de este año n o acompaña pero si que es cierto que se debería de especificar en el momento de hacer la reserva del apartamento ya que lo pregunte y se me dijo que todo funcionaba con normalidad, no es asi,. La zona es una maravilla y la urbanización cuidada al detalle da gusto, la verdad... Sin lugar a dudas repetiría y lo recomiendo. Gracias por todo.

Lovely peaceful location

On arrival we couldn’t get into the apartment as we had been given the wrong code to access the key. We phoned Steven the caretaker who arrived within a few minutes to let us in. The apartment was very clean and modern however we were surprised to see several notices around the place saying ‘don’t remove the air con remotes from the wall holders or your full deposit will be taken’ ‘don’t leave the air con on during the day or your full deposit will be taken’. We have been on many self catering holidays but have never come across this before. I’m sure the majority of holidaymakers are sensible adults and shouldn’t need reminding of this!! It would have been nice to have the basic essentials on arrival I.e. coffee, tea etc as many other property owners provide. We couldn’t work the induction hob and as there were no instructions we had to phone Steven again for assistance. He didn’t know how to work it either and after turning the electric on and off then pressing a few buttons it eventually came on. The same thing happened the following night so we just googled for instructions this time. Might be an idea to have the instructions on hand for those who are only used to gas/electric hobs. We had to tie the shower head up with cling film as when it was turned on it kept dropping round and turning towards the wall. The complex itself is beautiful. The gardens are very well kept and the location is very tranquil. We spent many evenings sat on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the sun set. We wouldn’t hesitate in staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay in the Oasis. The apartment is very nice and has everything you need. If you travel with small children and bring a stroler, it is a little challenging because of all the stairs, but we managed and got some exercise :)
