We had a lovely relaxing stay. The cottage had a lot of character (including a few resident spiders) and was well equipped. The hosts were very responsive with any questions we had. We would stay again.

Lovely cottage in the countryside with a fishing hole next door where you can take a lovely walk and another beautiful nature walk just around the corner which unfortunately only found on our last day but would love to go back and do on another visit. Cottage was very spacious and kitchen well outfitted. Very peaceful setting.
Nice property - plenty of space and great location - great views - unexpected welcome pack which was a nice touch - dirt track in was a bit precarious - could do the a little TLC - had a number of beetles and spiders in the property. Overall, woyld book again.
Spacious, warm barn with well equipped kitchen. Owners very friendly & helpful. Lovely welcome pack. It would be especially suited to four-wheeled drive owners as the dirt road leading to the property is very rough.
Had a lovely few days at this lovely property, with views of a lake from the comfortable sitting room. Good facilities available and as advertised, good communication with owners and a warm welcome. Would be happy to stay again
We had a lovely 4 night stay in the Kingfisher Holiday cottage. The property was perfect for our family of 5 and 2 small dogs.
Plenty of space for us all and everything we needed in the kitchen.
Fresh smelling linen on the beds and a breakfast in the fridge!!
The Cottage is situated at the end of a track road and overlooks the beautiful Elinor fishing lake. The sun shone on the garden into the evening and the outdoor area was perfect for a barbecue
We were able to take walks locally and take in the scenery, visit local villages and we also hired canoes and did a day on the River Nene.
A lovely stay in a lovely property. Thankyou Tim and Bev x
A fantastic property in amazing settings. The accommodation is vey clean with everything you need. Beverly and Tim seal the deal with their hospitality and helpfulness. No need to scroll any further book quickly and avoid missing out.
The property was a wonderful start to our move to England. We stayed here for our first 30 days, and it was an excellent location to go back and forth to the Bases, to the various stores, visit all of the local areas as well and search for a permanent home. The property was very spacious, very comfortable, quiet, and allowed us to enjoy being in England. The owners, Tim and Beverly, are outstanding hosts, and very helpful. Their attention to details for the property were excellent, as they thought of everything! They made us feel welcome, and part of the family. It simply could not have been a better stay. I would highly recommend this property.
Lovely break in a comfortable and well equipped cottage. (Bit short of loo rolls!)

Spacious and comfortable cottage in a beautiful setting
We had a very pleasant stay at Kingfisher cottage. The bedrooms were a good size and the kitchen was very big and well equipped. We stayed over Christmas and appreciated the Christmas tree and decorations that the owners had put up which made us feel at home.
The cottage is in the middle of some stunning countryside, overlooking fields and a fishing lake and it's very peaceful. The surrounding villages are lovely too and it's well situated also for the A14.

Highly recommended
This is a warm, spacious and comfortable house. The furnishings are excellent and seem very new, the kitchen has a good-sized dining table, the living room has 2 sections (a TV area and a dining area). The bedrooms are large enough, with the double having an ensuite shower room. It is very wheelchair-friendly. The location is perfect for countryside activities (we took our dog and found lovely walks through the lake area, literally on the doorstep). The local villages/towns are charming and have all the amenities you will need. There is a very good choice of restaurants within a 15 mile drive. Although set in a quiet area, the house is easy to access from the main roads. We had trips to Oundle, Rushden Lakes, Thrapston, Northampton, Stamford and Milton Keynes (as well as various villages with great pubs like Wadenhoe, Thorpe Waterville, Titchmarsh and Ashton; lovely cafes in Polebrook and Ringstead). Owners are very welcoming and helpful.

Elinor trout fishery self catering cottages
What an excellent place to stay even if some of your family are not into fly fishing for trout as there is loads to see and do and all close by plus there is some stunning walks, but if you are into trout fishing you could not ask for a better place to stay and fish. Elinor trout fishery often holds many national fishing competitions and you can fish it via bank, wadding, row boats and best of all you can use your own float tube here as well. It also holds float tube competitions in conjunction with the British float tube association early in the year. As you can guess I am a float tube trout fisher
