Valentinos House & Pool – Pet-Friendly, Costa Maresme, Barcelona

Located in Vilassar de Dalt, a charming village in the Maresme just 20 km from Barcelona, this beautifully restored 19th-century house offers a unique blend of history, local life, and Mediterranean charm.

This 19th-century house with a swimming pool has been beautifully restored. Situated in the main village square, yet secluded and peaceful, it allows you to mingle with locals and experience authentic Catalan culture.

Once a textile factory, parts of the house date back to the 17th century. Once inside the property, the only sounds you'll hear are birds singing and the occasional toll of the old church bell, which dates back to the 16th century!

The house has been carefully restored to create two unique spaces. However, we have maintained the upstairs bedroom in its original state as it dates back to the 17th century.

Layout & Sleeping Arrangements
Ground Floor: Large bedroom with two double beds (180x200 cm and 160x200 cm), plus a sofa bed (160x200 cm). 2 ceiling fans are available in this area.
First Floor: Spacious open-plan living area and kitchen with a view of the pool area. This room has air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The second double bedroom is accessed from this area via a short outside passageway and has a ceiling fan.
Laundry & Bathroom: Located between the ground floor and first floor, with access to the pool area.

Outdoor Area
The large pool area is very private and peaceful. It has a table, chairs, and a BBQ, perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation.

Amenities & Comfort
Double-glazed windows and central heating throughout the house. Air conditioning in the lounge/kitchen. Please refer to the photos for more details.

Important Notes
Stairs & Mobility: The house has multiple levels with stairs, which may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
Children’s Safety: There are no security fences or railings on the outside stairs, so children must be supervised at all times.

🌿 Nature’s Little Visitors
There are many trees, shrubs, and plants outside the house, so during the summer months, ants 🐜, mosquitos 🦟, bees 🐝, and other small insects may sometimes appear inside. This is completely normal in this type of setting. We avoid using harsh chemicals, as they are not environmentally friendly 🌍, but we do provide insect spray if needed. The pool may also have leaves 🍃 or the occasional insect, despite regular cleaning.

Historical Character
This home has a rich history, with parts dating back to the 17th century. While the entire property has been lovingly restored, the upstairs bedroom has been kept in its original state to preserve its unique character. Due to the old wooden beams and historic, uneven walls, some dust may be present, which could affect those with allergies. Although the house is thoroughly cleaned before your arrival, this is part of the charm of staying in such a special place.

Other Information
The property is equipped with an alarm system that you can activate when you leave. It is for the security of the house only and does not involve any surveillance or monitoring of guests. Right outside the property, there is a café/tapas bar—perfect for sitting out, enjoying a drink, and mingling with the locals.

Pets
We allow 1 small, well-behaved dog only (no cats). Pets must not be left alone in the property and are not allowed on beds or furniture. Please ensure your dog is house-trained.

Please note that parking in the main village square is limited and in a Blue Zone (you’ll need a ticket). However, there is free parking just a 5-minute walk away.

Transport
🚌 Direct bus to Barcelona — Moventis bus line 805: Just a 5-minute walk from the property, the bus gets you to Barcelona in 30–40 minutes.
Closest train station: Vilassar de Mar (2 km away). Take the Moventis bus line 803 to reach the station.

Long-Term Stays (21+ Days)
For stays of 21 days or more, utility bills (water, gas, electricity, WiFi) are not included in the price. A security deposit is required.

Basic supplies are provided, and there is a nearby shop just a 2-minute walk away for any additional items.
