Nice room with shady balcony overlooking street. Comfortable bed. A/C and fan worked well. Nice shared spaces including kitchen and patio by cooling pool. Lots of decor, some of it “adult”.

Cosy spot in Mérida

We stayed for a few nights and the place had everything one needs. The pool is a great extra, in the hot city of Mérida.

Loved My Stay!

Great vibe, a little oasis in Merida. Room was very comfortable, and artfully decorated. Creativity, comfort, and a jungle vibe sum up my time here. When I visit Merida, I’ll book with Magikal BnB again!

Pleasant stay in La Ermita

I booked a room with a private bathroom and A/C in what appeared to be a guesthouse, but a week or two before my arrival I was upgraded to a self-contained unit next door for no extra charge. I'm sure I would have been happy with the original booking, but the upgrade was of course even better. It was a small house with its own street entrance on Calle 68, a bedroom, one full bathroom, a kitchen and living area separated from the bedroom by sliding glass doors, a small patio, and a small plunge pool. I was very pleased with the whole set-up and it was a great place to spend my week in Mérida.

Amazing Place

I can’t say enough about the interior design, decorations, and authenticity of this place. It was a short 10-15 walk to the main plaza, but 5 minutes away is a cool bar/restaurant with live music and also a supermarket. The outside area is fabulous with the pool and greenery. Inside is eclectic and authentic. I would just sit and look at the designs and artwork. Super helpful staff, fresh water and coffee available. Neighborhood is quiet of car noise after 8pm or so. Air con works great in the rooms, common areas might be a bit warm in summer months - but all rooms have ceiling fans and there’s the great cool pool to take a dip. Will be back whenever I’m in town. A+ stay!

Not what was expected

Upon arrival, the room was excessively hot as the air conditioning had not been turned on prior to arrival even though our arrival time was provided to the host. While the decor was amazing the room was much smaller than anticipated. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable leaving our back, hips and necks aching in the morning. While the host was responsive with directions for entry to the property, that was the only thing good about this place. Sorry, but would never recommend to anyone.

Thank you for your comment and thank you very much for staying with us. We are a space for rent in b & b platforms, we are not a Hotel so we do not have the services that they have, that's why the big price difference. We do not usually turn on air conditioners all day as 5-star hotels do, given the costs involved and the great pollution they generate. We do everything possible to make our guests feel comfortable and happy so we strive in the decoration. If she had told us about the mattress the first night we would have changed her room. It is worth mentioning that all mattresses are hotel and we change them frequently. Room details are mentioned on the platform. Unfortunately the hotel mattresses have a certain fimeza that you found uncomfortable. We send you kind regards.
