About this property

Spacious 6 bed house, 15 walk to Porthcothan Bay with hot tub

Greenacres is a great combination of countryside and coastal. A excellent house for large families or groups seeking coastal pursuits. A very spacious 6 bedroom house with a private enclosed garden. The house offers 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, including 4 en-suite shower rooms, ground floor bathroom, a walk in shower room and a hot tub.
Set back from the Atlantic coast road in the hamlet of Treburrick between Padstow (4 miles ) and Newquay ( 9miles ) with far reaching views over the mellow countryside and towards the sea. Greenacres feels like its off the beaten track but its only a short 15 minute walk to the stunning Porthcothan bay. Follow the coastal walks to the 7 bay, "seven bays for 7 days" (Harlyn, Trevone, Mother Ivey's bay, Booby's bay, Constantine, Treyarnon and Porthcothan)

Porthcothan bay is a beautiful white sandy beach and is dog friendly all year round. The beach is sheltered from the Atlantic breeze by craggy headlands and backed by grassy dunes. Good for surfing with lifeguard patrol in attendance throughout the peak season.
Your children will have hours of fun exploring the rock pools and finding the weird and wonderful creatures. There is a shop and café on the entrance to the beach selling local produce.

Such a lovely house
We were a big family and friends group and had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful house. It was spotless on arrival with a fantastic kitchen which was so well stocked with all the utensils, crockery and glasses we needed. Every room had an en suite which was fab. The hot tub a real treat and plenty of parking. We walked to the nearby coves and beaches and drove to others further afield. Cannot recommend highly enough for a big group.

Wonderful house
Me and 8 girlfriends stayed here for 4 nights and everything was spot on! Great location 15 mins walk from the beach and other amenities a short drive away. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and the hot tub was a brilliant addition. Bryony even left us a bottle of fizz and cake to enjoy 🥰

About the host

Host profile image
My name is Bryony I am married with three boys aged 2-10 yrs old and live on a farm in Leicestershire. I grew up in the South of England and was never far from the beach but now living in the Midlands whenever we get the chance we love to get away to the coast. It has always been my dream to own a home in this area and this year we were able to make this happen.
Although we will be letting the house out we will also be spending as much time as possible enjoying family time and fun on the beach.

Why they chose this property

When I was a child my family stayed and holidayed in Contantine Bay and that was when I first fell in love with everything about North Cornwall, but particularly this area. As soon as I had children I wanted to share with them the magic that I had experienced. My children now love Porthcothan Bay and all the other local beaches and are happy for hours swimming and surfing, eating cream teas and pasties and fishing and crabbing in Padstow, just as I did. I feel certain you will also fall in Love with this magical venue.

What makes this property unique

Greenacres is a large and versatile house and would be ideal for large family gatherings or holidays with friends. The house has masses of large windows and feels really bright, airy, and welcoming. The numerous en suites and bathrooms means never queuing for showers or toilets even when Greenacres is fully occupied. The dining room table is huge and can comfortably seat 14 adults. The games room means peace and quiet for the adults while the children have space to play and watch their favourite videos.
The outside is breathtakingly beautiful with views over the countryside, a safe garden for the children and dogs to play, peace and quiet and of course the BBQ and Hot Tub!!
