Hosts were very friendly. Very clean property.Hot tub private.Excellent views.Foxton locks well worth a visit. Plenty of country pubs within driving distance but our favourite was the Carrington arms about 6 miles on the way to Melton Mowbray.And if you like Indian food the Indian Mixed grill is a must.We will definitely be returning.

Had an excellent week even though the weather was at times atrocious. Lovely cosy and comfortable cabin with the added benefit of the hot tub with lovely local views. Easy access to visit local sites and walks.

catch up with friends /family

Booked a long weekend for myself and my grown up son to catch up with friends and family who still live in the area We moved North when he was 2 years old and is now in his early 20's so spent the time going to places he went as a baby. The lodge position was perfect as it was quiet but only about 20 minutes from everything. It was cosy and comfortable with everything we needed. My son made good use of the hot tub. are definitely considering booking to do the same next year.
