Been coming to North Norfolk for about 20 years, but closure of our usual farm-stay meant we had to find somewhere new this time.
What a brilliant find!
Location is great. Exactly half a mile to the Wheatsheaf pub (very friendly and great food), and only a very short drive to the Holt- Sheringham road.
Cottage itself is spacious enough for two, with a good size kitchen (fully stocked with utensils) and a downstairs loo/ utility. Lounge is warm and cosy, with a log-burner, radio/CD, TV/DVD and space for muddy boots and wet coats. Bedroom has sloping ceiling (mind your head) and bathroom is large. Didn't use the bath as the shower is one of the best I have ever come across.
Spiral staircase is hilarious/ vertiginous depending whether you're at the bottom or top.
Didn't get into the garden as we were out exploring all daylight hours, but it's a decent size even if the views are spoiled by the high hedge.
Handyman lives next door, which was indeed handy as there was a small leak in the utility room. Not a problem for us, and we were even offered a different cottage if we wanted it, which was very gracious. We were fine where we were.
Overall you'll guess we were delighted, and we'll be back again soon.
