What a find! Spent 10 days at Les Canards from September 22nd, and absolutely loved the property and the area. Communication from Clive was fantastic and really helpful. The property was everything we were looking for and more ! So much space and so many amenities. Clive and Beryl have thought of everything. We were lucky enough to have fantastic weather and so in the pool everyday..The local area is rural, tranquil and incredibly friendly. We came away completely relaxed, our Springer Spaniel had the time of his life too !! Cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you both for the thought and care you put in to Les Carnards !!!

Beautiful place - a perfect tonic to our normal life in London. We loved the space, the cleanliness and the pool. The hedgehog visits at night were an added treat.

Superb holiday.

The property had everything you could need. Super thoughtful hosts and a perfect location. The property was excellent for everyone, including the dog. If you are looking for a peaceful location in rural France with lots of interesting places to visit, I would thoroughly recommend this. We were very sad to leave.

Fab family holiday

Really lovely place (well, two places) with a great, good sized pool. The location is great for cycling. We had a fantastic family holiday, eating late every evening outside by the pool. Relaxing holiday, fabulous!! 😀

Relaxing summer holiday

Great property with good sized pool and annexe. Great communication with owner. Very rural and most activities required a car journey but easy to spend time around the house due to pool, bikes etc.

4 Generation Family Holiday

The unseasonably poor weather did not detract from a very enjoyable and relaxed week with our extended family. Clive was at pains to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Les Canards is a delight. Genuine rustic charm but with decent accommodation. The showers had plenty of hot water and the two kitchens were well resourced plus two barbecues outside. We were a party of three generations - grandparents, parents and three girls aged 6-13. The main reason for booking this property was the private swimming pool which we used throughout the week. The outside spaces for eating are wonderful: between the two cottages in the morning and a large shaded area by the pool for evening meals. We didn't even use a third area by one of the barbeques.Because of the thick stone walls, the WiFi struggles as you move away from the router in the kitchen but the signal is good in the main kitchen and dining room.Local roads are devoid of traffic - I could cycle for an hour and only see four or five cars! There are two decent supermarkets in Couhé less than 15 minutes drive away.

Cozy country house

Our stay at Les Canards was a very pleasant experience. There was plenty of space and beds with new linen as well as plenty of towels and kitchen utensils. The outdoor area was beautiful and very private and the pool a big hit. Furthermore, there were well-functioning bikes and table-tennis equipment. The only downside was that the wifi connection wasn't really working - or only partially, but that was a minor thing. All in all, we have enjoyed our stay very much and can only recommend this beautiful country house.

Thanks very much for your kind words Christopher and we were delighted to hear that you had such a good time. Sorry to hear about the internet; it’s a brand new fibre connection and should be very fast and robust. Thanks for warning us, we’ll get it checked and in the meantime we hope to be able to host you again in the future.

If you want to get away from it all...

... Clive & Beryl's estate is the place to go. Ample space for large families in two separate houses, beautiful pool with large sitting area and poolside kitchen. The houses are very spacious, and very well equipped and furnished.Clive was a great host, very reliable and quick in his response whilst being in Britain. Thanks for everything!
