We couldn’t have loved our stay here more. It was so cozy and comfortable, with a beautiful view of both the ocean and the mountain. I was worried I’d have trouble sleeping with the midnight sun but the blackout shades were equipped on all windows and I slept wonderfully. I already want to come back!
Excellent crash pad for those looking to hike and explore this part of Iceland. It is small, but has everything a couple on the go in Iceland would need.
This is a fabulous house in an amazing location. The house is well equipped and more spacious than it looks, and it has great views on all our sides. It is a set in a very small village close to the coast, and there is also a lovely cafe within 5 mins walk. It is well placed to visit all the attractions in the area. Our host was very friendly and helpful and I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.
I stayed here in late march and it was perfect… not busy, northern lights vieable from the front door, and I felt almost as if I had the entire area to myself. A wonderful quiet getaway in a convenient location to the park. Cozy cottage was perfect!
It was a realy pleasant stay. With a lot of auroras

Other worldly… location was perfect. The cottage cosy and warm. Close to fabulous hiking, the glacier and exceptional horseriding. We loved it! Would definitely recommend!
The perfect place to stay. Very peaceful and quiet. The house was exactly what we needed. Even laundry! Close to many wonderful hikes, waterfalls, hot springs and tons of bird for watching.
The cottage was compact and well equipped for 2 people. I liked the quiet location and easy parking. I had two caveats: large downloads and streaming was prohibited on the wifi and guests were requested to change the bedding, make up the bed for the next guests arriving.
Tiny little cottages in the southern part of the western fjords
We had some relaxing days in this tiny little cottage that offers everything you need for a stay. Unfortunately, we had pretty bad weather (windy, snowy and cold), so that we decided to leave earlier than planned. But during summer time it must be marvelous.
Nice cottage with a big living room (compared to all other cottages where we were). We covered the camera in the living room as we didn't find that appropriate. Great view on the snaefelljökull and the sea, the latter unfortunately interrupted by some other cottages.

Thank you for your review Rolf. There is no camera in the house! Only a motion detector for the burglar alarm. Wish you had asked me about that.

Lovely home and fabulous location!
This lovely one bedroom home has everything you need to be self-sufficient and enjoy the beauty of the natural environment. It's located in a little cluster of similar new (but fashioned in the old Icelandic style) homes and is well-kept with picnic table out the back door. Everything was clean (be aware that you do the cleaning when you leave so that it's nice for the next person), spacious-feeling and decorated in a very cozy, homey way. We had a problem accessing the DVD, but Jakob talked us down and we enjoyed their movie collection. Overall, a really wonderful vacation home! Oh, and Jakob was very helpful planning in advance of our trip!
There is something to be said about staying in one area in Iceland rather than bouncing all around and spending too much time on the road. This cabin provides the PERFECT location. Such an abundance and variety of great things to do nearby. I recommend staying a few days here or even a full week. The cabin itself is fantastic for one or two people. All modern conveniences in working order. Thank goodness for the blinds... much needed in June at night. Very clean. Great to have a kitchen as it saves from eating out all the time, and there aren't many restaurants in the area anyway. View from cabin is to die for. Yeah, you gotta clean when you leave but that's a small price to pay for the perfect cabin in the perfect local.
Wow, how to put into words what a glorious stay my spouse and I had at this property! The house itself was as elegant, warm, and accommodating as we could have wished for, and the location was just consistently stunning. There are incredible views from the living room of the crashing ocean on the tall rocks with the sun on the horizon, impressive snow-covered mountains looming from the opposite side, and a cosy, charming home with truly impressive insulation and so many extra amenities we never knew needed to make our stay even more incredible than it already was (the heated bathroom floor leaps to mind!). We had a wonderful time those four days driving around the peninsula seeing the excessively beautiful and variable landscape and visiting the lovely, small communities in the area. The owner was responsive and maintained clear communication throughout the process, and overall I just couldn't be happier. I deeply hope we get another opportunity to stay in this gorgeous location!
The cottage was very comfortable and in a perfect setting to explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. It’s not far from the sea, which you can see from the cottage. Good for self-catering or close to an excellent restaurant at the nearby Fosshotel. On a clear night, the stars were amazing, and there were great views of the northern lights! The property manager was very helpful and responsive. Can’t wait to come back!
