The village plays host to traditional Yorkshire dry stone walls and is surrounded by hills, sheep, heather and moorland. Here, you will also find two pubs, The Blacksmiths Arms and The Black Horse, in addition to a shop, making the village retreat for touring further afield.

Die Ferienwohnung ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge an der Küste und im Nationalpark North Yorkshire Moors NP. Küche und Wohnbereich sind ansprechend und funktional. Die Betten sind verbesserungswürdig, ebenso das nur ein, nicht allzu großer Schrank vorhanden ist. Im Bad fehlt eine Steckdose.
