The one bed cottage is a detached converted barn located on a working farm and livery yard with panoramic views across the Wharfe and Aire valley. The cottage has an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, the bathroom is located on the ground floor and the bedroom is on a mezzanine level upstairs. The cottage is located just across the yard from the main house at Moorcock Hall, ideally located just 6 miles from Ilkley and Skipton “the gateway to the dales”

I had a fantastic stay at the converted barn in Silsden! The location is stunning, offering incredible panoramic views over the Wharfe and Aire valleys. The property itself is beautifully kept, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to those countryside vistas was an absolute highlight. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful stay in the area—we would definitely love to return!

Lovely cottage with beautiful views. Well equipped. Very comfortable and quiet. Easy access to road network. Downstairs bathroom and toilet. Headroom, in the bedroom limited, which wasn't a problem for us! Could have been cleaner. Note also that the dryer is an airer not a tumble. Outside seating area uninviting.

Lovely hosts who made me very welcome and let my dogs out whilst I was attending a wedding nearby. There was a welcome hamper and lots of useful information. Horses and sheep outside the window and far ranging views. Lovely walks straight out of the door and nearby.

Beautiful barn conversion with great facilities and beautiful location. Had everything you could want for a lovely couple of days break. Would definitely recommend and would definitely consider another stay. Lovely cottage with plenty of dog walks straight from the door. Great location to visit places such as Silsden, Addingham and Otley or further a field. The cottage had everything we needed ,although an iron may have been useful, and was very comfortable for our two night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bath and shower was lovely. We enjoyed a takeaway from the host recommended Chinese ( the George) at Silsden and found local amenities to be very useful. Lovely welcome hamper left by the hosts so we could enjoy a cuppa and a biscuit when we arrived. Added bonus was a washing machine so we didn’t need to travel home with smelly kit in the car after my husband’s run.

Lovely Renovated Barn

This place is a lovely barn conversion. The views are amazing and the area is so peaceful. The hosts Sophie and Al are so welcoming and friendly and they provided us with a lovely welcoming hamper. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a few days away.

Really enjoyed the cottage; cosy, clean and relaxing. The views from the windows are so lovely. The mezzanine bedroom worked really well with my dogs being in their crate downstairs as they could hear us therefore were able to settle. The kitchen worked well - we had all our meals there as we just wanted to have some time away. The local village had some nice coffee shops for a wander and the local co op was a nice one.

Wonderful cottage to explore Yorkshire/National Parks

Absolutely love the cottage! Has everything needed to enjoy some time exploring Northern areas of England. Sophie is wonderful and responsive - and has a delightful family, who we got to meet. I would highly recommend staying at the cottage. Lambs and horses about the Farm, beautiful country side and towns and everything you could need in a self-catering spot. Can't say enough!

absolutely a lovely faultless cottage, our hosts Sophie and Al were the best, friendly and most helpful host i have ever met.
