Tucked away in a peaceful residential area, with the benefit of private parking, here you have a beautifully presented annexe bungalow. Just a short stroll away from the heart of Whitby.. All on the Ground Floor:

Downdinner Hill is named after the hill the property is perched atop of, which over looks the town. The open plan living area is bright and inviting, with tasteful decore flowing throughout, everything has been carefully chosen from the handmade curtains to the comfy leather sofas. There is a wide range of cooking appliances and utensils in the well-equipped kitchen, where you can create meals to delight your partner, perhaps using fresh local seafood for an authentic taste of Whitby. This spacious bungalow has a table for four, so that you can entertain friends who are in the area during your stay. Whilst the sun is shining, make the most of the garden, enjoying al fresco dining or simply a glass of wine whilst indulging in a good book. There is both a shared lawned garden surrounded by tended flower beds, as well as your own private patio. At the end of the day, retire to the spacious double bedroom, with ample storage for all of your belongings. In this quiet location you can be assured of a deep uninterrupted sleep, with the walk-in shower perfect for ensuring you are refreshed at the start of each day.
From the annexe, it is only a 10 minute stroll into the town centre, where there is plenty of things to see and do during your stay. Home to some lovely Blue Flag beaches, why not enjpy a romantic picnic on the golden sands, or take the opportunity to learn a new skill such as surfing? See if you can conquer the 199 steps, which lead up to the historic 7th century Whitby abbey, said to have been the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’ and boasting a wealth of history. Visit the historic Captain Cook Memorial Museum, hosting a range of exhibitions detailing Cook’s voyages and life. You can even sail out of the harbour on a replica of one of his ships. The town is incredibly proud of its seafaring heritage and you can still see the fishermen bringing home their freshly caught bounty, in fact the fish and chips in Whitby is regarded as some of the best in the world. There is an abundance of restaurants and cafés to choose from, some of them award winning, you are sure to be spoilt for choice.
Further along the coast, you have the fabulous Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Saltburn, all ideal for a day trip. You are also surrounded by the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, which has many walking trails as well as breath taking scenery, you can take in the views from the heritage steam train which winds it’s way over the moorland from Whitby’s station. All year round there is plenty to see and do, discover for yourself what draws guests from around the world to this quaint coastal town.
