7 Day Girls Trip

We absolutely loved the house. 6 women and we had plenty of space. The host was responsive and extremely attentive and helpful. We were taken care of so well. Thank you so much for the lovely stay. I highly recommend this house for a excellent vacation.

La Fortuna 3 couples

The property exceeded all expectations! Large lot and complete privacy surrounded by forest. Were able to see a howler monkey, toucans, hummingbirds birds and even a sloth which the gardener went out of his way to show us. Loved the 4 separate bedroom suites - beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms spacious! Arnaldo, the host, absolutely went above and beyond - he arranged local transportation and even drove us to town himself so that we were on time for an early morning tour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and give the property our highest recommendation!

Three great nights

We checked in without any issue. There were cows in the pasture outside behind the house. In the morning, the caretaker spotted a sloth and showed us and the other neighbors! On the second morning he helped us find it again!! The house was very soothing and calming. The bedrooms each had a bathroom and an exterior entrance. The living room is separate from the bedroom spaces. It reminded me of the design of a Roman villa. We had a magnificent time and would definitely stay again!

AMAZING PROPERTY!

We booked this house for 3 couples and a single person. The layout was perfect! The common area with kitchen, dining and TV room was large and had everything we needed. The bedrooms each have their own washrooms and access, which was perfect PLUS the pool, hot tub, loungers and hammocks were amazing! We spent most of our time at the large outside dining area. There is a BBQ, sink, washroom and outdoor shower. The yard is beautiful, amazong landscaping - there is a sloth that lives on the property, we saw toucans and several geckos. We had a cute little visitor every evening (we named him scrappy) he was a little neighborhood dog who joined us every evening - he is beyond adorable! The location was about 10-15 minutes from La Fortuna, with a little grocery store a couple minutes drive away. We all loved it and would absolutely stay there again and absolutely recommend it to anyone. Also- I must say the check in was very easy, our host was very helpful and patient with me when I was having trouble with my phone working properly. Thank you!

Beautiful pool and grounds, communication not great, location misleading

The property was beautiful and private. The bedrooms were spacious and clean. The highlight was the pool and hot tub. The outdoor overhang allowed for lounging outside even when it was raining - super relaxing with a good book or to sit at the table and play games while listening to the rain. The fact that the bedroom entrances are outside of the main house is not ideal for families with younger children. Also, there is no bathroom in the main house so you have to go out to your bedroom. Communication with the owner wasn't the best. It took up until the day of the reservation to get a link to the property location. The link did not work and it was hard to get in touch with the owner to get a working link. We didn't know that the property is about 15 minutes from downtown Fortuna until we got the link. The location on the vrbo is misleading. It was our first day in the country so a bit unsettling, but it eventually all worked out. There is an electronic pdf sent by email with videos to watch how to work things in the house. It would have been nice if these instructions were also provided in a hard copy at the house instead of having to look things up (especially when wifi is spotty). The owner seemed annoyed whenever we'd ask questions.

Adult family trip to Costa Rica

This was such a great place! I don’t think the photos do it justice. It was an easy process to book with Arnaldo our host.The house was incredibly CLEAN, just spotless. It also has incredible grounds that were just lovely. Even though it was conveniently located off a main street it is tucked way back off a gated entrance and we never heard or saw a car.I think the layout of the house is important to understand because it is different than anything we’ve stayed in before. The bedrooms basically are individually shaped in a U separate from the living room/kitchen area (they surround the pool) and each individually lock off. This gave such a great sense of privacy. Each bedroom was large and equipped with a large bath with double vanity and walk in shower, area for clothing and a safe. Inside the main house, 3 steps from bedrooms depending on which one you have is kitchen, dining, living with a laundry area off kitchen. All very modern and clean with excellent appliances, tv, etc. It was really a nice house! Our host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and to make sure we understood the codes and such. Arnaldo also helped arrange transportation from SJO to the rental as we were coming off some long redeye flights.The next day he very kindly offered the 5 of us a drive to La Fortuna (rental is approximately 10 minutes outside the town) to pick up our rental car. The only thing we would suggest is table lamps in bedrooms! But excellent stay!

The home is beautiful, and while we didn’t use any of the suggested services… our friend did use the private airport transfer and said it was great!The host is responsive and lives on the adjacent property, we had two small issues and he addressed both quickly and effectively.Overall great experience in an amazing property!

Beautiful and Quiet

This house is just as advertised. Beautiful, clean, and quiet. We stayed with a group of 9 and loved it. We saw a sloth in the tree right outside the house. In the 16 days we spent in Costa Rica this was the best view we got of one! Watched it for an hour. La Fortuna waterfall was amazing as well as the hot springs. You will love this house.

Casa Colibri Coqueta was terrific!

We enjoyed our time at this house. It is about 10 minutes by car outside of La Fortuna. Once we found the property, it was a very nice place. Exploring the grounds and experiencing the sound of the forest was a wonderful experience. We even found a sloth on the property. I would recommend Casa Colibri Coqueta to any family visiting the Arenal area.

Nice spacious Villa on beautiful property!

My husband and I stayed with our four 20 years old children . The property was beautiful and it was nice to have the privacy of the four rooms. The rooms were extremely spacious and all had their own bathroom ! Renters be aware that the entrance to your rooms is on the outside in courtyard like a hotel . I don’t know that I would want this if we had young kids with us and then have access to the pool. But for our group, it was fine. The pool was beautiful and big enough for a swim. The hot tub was great as well. The property had a nice open area to walk around and backed up to the jungle. It wasn’t immediately on top of the jungle which we liked. There seems to be a resident Sloth in one area on the property, which was kind of cool.. it was great to have the air conditioners and they worked well. The villa was very clean and modern. There wasn’t much in way of inside furniture, but we did spend most of our time outside so that didn’t bother us much. I did have to comment though that check in and check out instructions were not clear to me. I was an hour and a half from the property and didn’t have directIons to the house yet only an area. But everything else really was great. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.!!

Incredible Stay!

Stayed for four nights and absolutely had an amazing time in the La Fortuna area and at this property. Everything was very well maintained, clean, and cared for. Property grounds are immaculate - as others have mentioned - photos do not do it justice. We saw large iguanas and a sloth on the property, which was an unexpected treat. The separation of the rooms/casitas gave everyone privacy and plenty of room to spread out. The location was close to everything - chocolate tours, night walk, and not far from downtown. Would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again!

Hidden Gem Near Fortuna

We came to Costa Rica for my mother's 70th birthday, we were hesitant about going during rainy season, but found this gem and thought let's give it a shot! We were not disappointed, we drove in the dark from LIR airport and rented a car, everyone in CR uses wazes so that was our go to, which worked everywhere except finding this place, it's down a long drive way and you couldn't see that on Waze so use google maps for this one. Once we arrived and we were so happy! The place was super clean, tons of room to cook, relax and explore! The mornings were sunny and hot! We enjoyed the pool in the mornings and the hot tub at night. It's about 15 minutes from La Fortuna Plaza not a bad drive. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in the area. The property itself is gorgeous and Luis the grounds keeper is awesome, he showed us the 2 finger and 3 finger sloths, we saw beautiful birds, huge frogs, tiny frogs...so cool! Also did the waterfall, just down the street, a volcano hike, hot springs and the coffee/chocolate tour and still feel rested because everything is so close! Property owners were fast and efficient! Love love love, will be back for sure! Thank you!

Fantastic!! 10/10!

We loved this place, and would definitely stay here again! The bathrooms were well-appointed with extra towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The shared space had everything you need for cooking. All the appliances were new, and well maintained. Included a washer and dryer, and even a swimsuit spinner. The host was very responsive. The pictures don’t do this place justice! It was incredible! We saw sloths and other wildlife on the property.

Family Had a Great Time

The property easily accommodated our whole family, 6 adults and 4 kids (ages 8-11). We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The 4 bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom, was ideal for our party. The kids had a blast in the large swimming pool and on the trampoline. The kitchen was easy to work in and the two dining areas, one indoors and the other on the covered patio, overlooking the pool were convenient. We enjoyed using the BBQ grill for making dinners and eating outside on the patio. The kids enjoyed spotting birds and animals (sloths and lizards) on the property. The managers were very responsive and quickly took care of any questions. The property is located some 5 to 6 miles south of La Fortuna on Route 702, but the map seems to indicate it is close to town.
