A 2 minute walk to a lovely quiet beach
West Horizon offers the height of luxury in a stunning setting.
West Horizon offers peace and seclusion. There are wonderful walks direct from the property up into the hills beyond, including a superb walk to a small loch. The region is a haven for wildlife and deer are regularly seen close by. Osprey, eagles, seals and otters can all also be spotted in the immediate area. The region is renowned for its hill walking and climbing, and the dramatic peaks of Suilven, Stac Pollaidh, Canisp, Quinag and Ben More Assynt dominate the nearby skyline of this wild and unspoilt Highland region. There are some wonderful walking routes in the area, many of which start on foot from West Horizon. There is a local grocery shop 20 min drive away called Drumbeg stores, and 'The Jammery' in Culkein (just 6 min drive) sells refreshments, sandwiches, chutneys & jams. Flossie's Beach Store by the road in Clachtoll is just a 6 minute drive.
Lochinver, is a 8 mile drive away and provides a range of services including a Spa food shop and a butcher, doctors, post office and good quality restaurants and coffee shop. The area has a unique and diverse fauna and flora, with whales, dolphins, seals, otters, basking sharks, eagles, puffins, and deer taking up residence in this wild and stunning landscape. Sunrises and sunsets can be breathtakingly beautiful. On clear nights the stars seem touchable and there is even the possibility of experiencing the northern lights with no light pollution.
West Horizon is a luxury well equipped escape to ensure your stay is as comfortable as can be. Your stay includes King Size Egyptian cotton bed linens and Egyptian cotton bath towels. The kitchen is fully equipped for any would be chefs out there and has an american style fridge freezer with ice maker. The sofa just melts away the busy days of hiking in this wondrous land and if you still have the energy there is a Blu ray player with dvd's. The bathroom has a whirlpool bath for those who enjoy a long relaxing soak and a large double shower. Through a door and there is a cloak room with washer and dryer and second toilet, more than enough to cope with any days outdoor pursuits. Sit outside for an alfresco dining experience under the dark sky and watch the stars unfold before you. This 70 sqm holiday lodge has central heating and a log effect fire for cosy nights.
