Welcome to Ocean Surf - You are on Highland time now !
Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space nestled on a hillside overlooking Clashnessie Bay. Located on the North Coast 500 touring route - in the north west highlands of Scotland - Approx 8.5 from Lochinver, and 8 miles from Achmelvich beach.
The perfect place to escape from it all, cosy up by the fire and take in the stunning views. We can't promise you'll get much done, but you will fully relax.
The 3 bed house is a detached home, tucked away along a private trail which crosses croft land. It has a master bedroom with views overlooking Clashnessie Bay, a luxury king sized bed and ensuite shower and WC attached.
The 2 other bedrooms are set up as a super king bed, and then a single bed and bunkbeds in the last bedroom. This allows the house to sleep 7. There is a separate bathroom, with a bath, shower over the bath, basin and WC.
The open plan kitchen and dining area provides ample space to unwind, and there is a large comfy sofa and armchair to enjoy the uninterrupted views out across the bay. There is a log burner for you to enjoy in the corner of the living space, with firewood and coal provided. If you have booked a longer stay with us you will need to let us know if you will require more firewood, which can be supplied at an additional cost.
This open plan space opens onto a conservatory, from 2 pocket doors from which you can see Clashnessie Falls. Please note this space gets very warm in the summer time !
Adjacent to the kitchen is a utility room which houses a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink if you are staying longer than a few nights. There is side door access from here to the garden, so it's the perfect space to come home to with muddy boots and wet clothes after some exploring.
The house is set within crofting land, so don't be surprised to open your curtains and see sheep, horses, or deer (depending on time of year of your visit) ambling along to the waterside.
There is a smart TV, and wifi available at the house, so please make the most of the beautiful Highland surroundings, or stay in and enjoy some down time.
We do not allow dogs into the house, simply because the house is located on croft land and so we want to protect the sheep. Please note you will need to open 1 gate to access the track that leads to the house, and another gate that leads to the driveway. There will be animals on the croft land and may be on the track. these are all friendly animals but please be courteous and patient when driving on the track. Please remember to always close the gate behind you when arriving or leaving the house.
Lastly, you may just be lucky enough to catch a spectacular display of the Northern lights from Ocean Surf during your stay!
Note if you are travelling with young children we can provide a high chair and lots of beach toys!

Nice house looking out onto beautiful little beach. A lot of sheep which meant little lambs everywhere this time of year. Friendly neighbours! Tip: go to Handa (approx. 45 min. drive) for a very special hike on this remote bird island.
The property was a wonderful base for exploring Assynt with fabulous views to Clashnessie beach. Sophie quickly dealt with any queries and issues and nothing was any trouble. The property is accessed via croft land and the variety of animals added to the enjoyment of our stay.
A STUNNING LOCATION OVERLOOKING THE BAY AND SURROUNDING HILLS.
THE HOUSE IS CLEAN AND WELL EQUIPPED,THOUGH SOME OF THE DOUBLE GLAZING IS BLOWN AND LIMITS THE VIEWS!
THE GARDEN IS NOT REALLY SUITABLE FOR VERY SMALL CHILDREN,BECAUSE OF THE HILLY NATURE OF THE GROUND.
