Casa Luis has an enviable location in the village, being one minute on foot to the main plaza with bars, restaurants, 2 small supermarkets, doctors, pharmacy and fresh gricers, butchers and fish shops, while being set back from the road through a picturesque Moorish arch in a quiet cul de sac. The house is set over 4 floors, with two roof terraces at the highest levels offering beautiful, unspoilt views across the countryside and hills. The house is so well located, being away from the many narrow streets, gives the feeling of space and light. The 2m x2m splash pool gives welcome opportunity to cool off in the height of summer and the top terrace is equipped with a bbq, sink, table, chairs and parasol providing a fabulous spot to eat or watch the sun go down.
Riogordo is a typical, unspoilt pueblo blanco where guests can holiday in Spain away from the high rises, discos and noisy pubs and glimpse the laid back life that still exists in this Spanish working village. Although most of the population is Spanish, there are some British, French, Italian and German families who have made Riogordo home, having visited the village in the past, fallen in love with its charm and moved permanently there. Michelle and Ian also plan to retire to the village, meanwhile in Scotland, they live with Rumba and Luis, their Spanish Martin dogs from the local animal rescue.
