Spacious villa for 8 people with a private pool and a fantastic view!

The villa is spacious and can accommodate 8 adults or 2 families with children, thanks to its 2 separate sleeping wings. There are 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

You enter into the large central living area, which features two north-facing sliding doors leading to a covered terrace with fantastic views, as well as double south-facing French doors. To the left is the spacious open kitchen with a large breakfast bar, a 5-burner gas stove, an American-style refrigerator with an ice maker, a dishwasher, a microwave, an oven, a Nespresso machine, and a fully stocked kitchen. From the kitchen area, there are also double French doors leading to the back terrace.

Two steps up from the living room take you to the first bedroom wing. Here you’ll find one bedroom with a 160x200 bed and one bedroom with two 90x200 beds. There is a bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower, and a separate toilet in the hallway. The bedrooms feature double French doors opening onto a private terrace and ample closet space.
From the kitchen area, you enter the second bedroom wing. To the left of the hallway are two spacious bedrooms: one with two 90x200 beds and one with a view of the pool and a 160x200 bed. Both rooms have sliding doors facing south. There is a modern bathroom with a shower and toilet. You’ll also find the utility room here, equipped with a washing machine, dryer, and an extra refrigerator. The entryway offers plenty of closet space. A camp bed is provided, and all bedrooms have fans. A door from the entryway leads outside to the large, walled terrace featuring an 8x4 (saltwater) pool and a covered patio area, perfect for lunch, for example.

The house is situated on a spacious, partially hilly 1,700-meter lot with ample parking right outside the door. The lot is not fenced in, allowing it to blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape; however, the pool is fenced. The villa is in a secluded but not isolated location on the outskirts of the village.

The house is situated on the outskirts of the centuries-old village of Bouilhonnac, which is perched on a hill. The villa is located at one of the highest points in the village and offers a fantastic view of the Montagne Noire. On clear days, you can see all the way to the Pyrenees from the front of the house, and closer by, you can see the Cité of Carcassonne. This fortified city is about a 10-minute drive away and is a must-see. Together with the nearby Canal du Midi, it is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the immediate vicinity of the house, there are beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails winding through the vineyards, and of course, there are also wineries to visit. Less than 100 metres from the house lie the ruins of the old Château de Bouilhonnac.

The village of Trèbes is 3 km away and offers all amenities, including two large supermarkets with petrol stations, bakeries, butchers, pharmacies, and more. There are also several cosy restaurants with outdoor seating along the Canal du Midi.

The surrounding area is very interesting, featuring ancient fortresses and castles from the Cathar era. For an afternoon of shopping, the city of Toulouse is just an hour’s drive away; it’s also home to the airport with a direct flight to Amsterdam. The coast is about a 50-minute drive away, featuring large, child-friendly, gently sloping beaches.
