Gite 2 - Maison De L'Etang

Our accommodation has fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need for your stay. The Lounge area has a very comfy Sofa and we have also installed Freesat and Wifi internet ( Included) for you.The upstairs has a very spacious bedroom with high ceilings and shower room. All towels and linen are provided for your stay.We have incorporated original features of the barn to make your stay an authentic one. You also have your own private garden area to relax in. A BBQ is also provided. You can also access our very large garden for your own use too.
The location of our Gîte is perfect for people looking for a quite place to relax, stopping through or if you want to live the true Burgundy experience.We are Lesley and Paul. We set out to France to persue our dream of living in an old stone farm house and renovating barns, stables etc to offer as Gites. Our Gite offers a light, comfortable place for you to stay, whatever your means are for your stay in France. We are located about 40 minutes from Dijon, 30 minutes from Beaune and 10 minutes from Chateaux Neuf.

Lyon is a mere 2 hours drive, making our location also a very good stop over point if you are travelling south or on your way back home.We do offer a breakfast service if required, however our accomodation has fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need for your stay. The Lounge area has a very comfy Sofa and we have also installed Freesat and Wifi internet ( Included) for you.The upstairs has a very spacious bedroom with high ceilings and en-suite shower room. All towels and linen are provided for your stay.We have incorporated original features of the barn to make your stay an authentic one. We will welcome you personally on arrival on which you will receive your welcome pack. We run our business with clarity for our customers. What does this mean? We have no extra costs, the price you see is what you pay. We have NO extra cleaning costs, water or electricity bills, internet charges etc. We are located in the small quiet village of Essey, but we are only 10 minutes from the motorway making us a prime location for all activities. Golf, fishing, walking, biking, wine tasting, shopping, restaurants, bars and bird watching or just relaxing in our large garden are just some of the acitivites that are available to you.
You do have your own private garden area for only you to use, but we do also welcome you to use our large garden ca 3000m² if you wish. Paul is a very talented artist of which his pictures are available for you to purchase.

Great Gite and lovely owners.

Everything a couple would need for a relaxing stay. The owners made us feel very welcome and the Gite was very well equipped, clean and comfortable - will be returning at some point.

We are still thrilled with our stay at Maison de l'Etang. It was just what everybody in the comments described, we absolutely loved our stay. Lesley and Paul are so very friendly and have created a little paradise in this old barn/stable, possibly for themselves, definitively for their guests. The gîte is just lovely, spotlessly clean, very well equipped, very carefully furnished and decorated and they just thought of everything. Loved the surroundings as well, very peaceful. Highly recommended.
