Located in the village of Exo Gonia, was one of many decrepit caves, called iposkafa typicals of Santorini. These traditional dwellings have long been used for their energy-efficient properties, the earth naturally keeps the cave warm in winter and cool in summer. The renovated home matches the original building height, and payment of respect to traditional craftsmanship. The traditional architecture is also reflected in the interior design and furniture. All the traditional architectural elements which are unique to Santorini’s style have been preserved. However, relaxing in suite the visitor enjoys privacy, plenty of natural light and a refreshing atmosphere ensured by the thick walls. The renovation period was lasts from 2018 to 2020 and after so much effort, a volcanic communal wood fired oven of 18th century, transformed to a dreamy cave suite.
