The cabin is lovely- very comfortable bed and nice soft sheets and towels. We had everything we needed. Hot tub was relaxing and well- kept. My husband was disappointed- no fish, but otherwise it was very nice.
We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful, quiet property that was a perfect getaway. Amazing landscape and location was very convenient to Boone without being too close and worrying about traffic. Can't wait to book again next year!
We’ve stayed here a few times now. Always a wonderful stay. We had everything we needed to get away from everything and just have great family time with no distractions.
Just what we were looking for! A few suggestions:1. We knew we were off the grid, but didn't realize there would be gravel roads. Prepare your guests for this.2. Add 5/night and stock extra paper products3. Add another 5/night and eliminate "please take your trash with you". Pay the housekeepers to dispose of it.4. Change check out time to 11:00 AM.5. Replace frying pans.Repeating......we loved your property and will be back after the fish stocking hatcheries are back in business!
Beautiful cabin and well appointed. All amenities worked without any issues. Picture perfect site and scenery. Great location and close to local areas of interest. Would highly recommend.
This was a wonderful cabin where we spent 5 days on our annual winter family trip. The views of the creek were amazing. The firepit and jacuzzi was so relaying. We will definitely recommend this cabin to our love ones and friends!

Well-kept cabin by the water!
We had a wonderful time, only wish the creek wasn't so swollen by all the rain. Cabin was well-stocked and well-kept. Would love to come again!
This is a beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting. The stream and fire pit are great places to enjoy the outdoors. The interior cabin is well designed with great personal touches. I would not hesitate to go back.
We were floored on the beauty of the property. The house was very clean and clear direction were given for the firewood and wifi. The cozy accommodations were amazing. The drive in was beautiful and exciting with the winding road and scenery. It was a perfect experience Thank you.

Beautiful, comfortable home, quiet location
This home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The location was just what we were looking for, very quiet on a gravel road and close enough to Boone if you want a little action-about a 30 minute drive. We went horseback riding at the nearby Leatherwood stables which was very nice. Next time we will stay longer!!
Great cabin for family fun. Grandchildren, ages 4 and 5,
loved playing in the creek, fire pit and hot tub. Yard large enough to play in and creek not far from the house. Cabin just the right sized for 5-6 people. Very clean and well equipped. Highly recommend.
What an incredible experience! The creek is absolutely beautiful!! So much time was spent back there!! And the house is just down right perfect!! Talk about the epitome of a comfy mountain cabin! We loved it! We will be back!!
My husband, dog, and I stayed for 4 days at the cabin and had a great time. Clean. Completely stocked. Relaxing. Just what we were looking for. Water is beautiful! Caught some trout. Would absolutely go back again
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT !!!
Location is excellent and secenery beautiful. At night this is one of those close your eyes and just listen to the sounds type of places. Hot tub is an added bonus !
The outside fire pit is great and skipping rocks at the creek turns into the national pastime ! Can’t say enough good things about this place. Looking forward to a return trip !

My husband and I had such a great time staying at Angler's Retreat. It was just what we needed, peace and quiet. The house had everything we needed and we absolutely loved the coziness that it was. Our pooch had a great time swimming in the creek while my husband was fishing. Caught a lot of trout and small mouth bass. I suggest stoping at the grocery store before checking into the house as it is a bit of a drive to get to the nearest grocery store. It was great to sit on the deck in the morning with coffee and just listing to the birds chirp and the water rusing in the creek. We would definitely stay here again!
Thank you for hosting us, Jackie! We had a great four days relaxing by the campfire and down by the water. Our coonhound had the time of his life! My husband and I visited with our friends and their two children, who are 4 and 6. They had a blast! So many butterflies and tadpoles for them to illustrate for us later in the day. We loved the hot tub in the cool mornings. This is a very peaceful and impeccably maintained property. It was one of the cleanest cabins we've ever had the pleasure of staying at. This property has everything you need for your stay, including travel toiletries, plenty of towels, plusevery pot, pan, and utensil you need to cooking. We grilled all day each day. We will definitely be back! Thanks again for the great memories.
We have been renting properties in the area for 13 year now. This is a beautiful location but not worth five stars based on description and price.
Cons:
-First property at this price point that required you to take the trash with you.
-WiFi is pretty non-existent. This can be improved with some tree limb cutting by owner. Renters cannot resolve technical issues without owner getting involved.
-Check out process is carbon copy of check in. Language contradicts some signage in property.
-Very dark inside. Needs some more lighting day or night.
-Neighbors property is under construction so there is a good amount of noise as they do work on the weekends there.
Pros:
-Beautiful location that you can catch some trout.
-Relatively new property that was built in 2017.
-Comfortable beds.
-Well stocked kitchen for pots and pans.
-Clean property
This place was very nice but not for the price. I already see that it is being offered for significantly cheaper rate than what we paid.
Loved the cabin especially the kitchen/great room with gas fireplace. The outside of cabin was good, we needed the flat land because of two elderly people with us. We were looking for an easily accessible creek for the elderly grandfather to fish. We were disappointed in the area to get down to creek. Would have been the perfect place if the access was cleaned and leveled.
