About this property
Tranquil Log Cabin in Private Mountain Setting with Hot Tub
Located in the beautiful John River Gorge, between Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain, GLOBE VALLEY RANCH is 'where the pavement ends' and your dream vacation begins. Our family began our dream of building quaint mountain cabins with the purchase of 117 acres on the Johns River in 2005. The Johns River and the Pisgah National Forest border our property and offer a beautiful, tranquil setting to be enjoyed in all seasons!
We proudly offer our brand new hand hewed log cabin with 2 bedrooms and a loft with 2 single beds. A wonderful six seater hot tub sits on the back deck of the cabin. We rent on a daily or weekly basis. In addition, we have built a 36x36 timber frame barn with a BBQ area and play area. We invite you to listen and observe the abundant wildlife on our pristine acreage and enjoy total relaxation on the covered front porch that overlooks 'Bear Hollow Creek'. You may also enjoy a hike down by the Johns River to 'wet a hook'. Our vacation destination offers a wide range of outdoor activities for the adventure enthusiasts during spring, summer, fall or winter.

Everything was clean and just like the pictures. We have stayed several times. We love the location and river is fun to swim and fish in. Our grandchildren loved playing in the hot tub. We enjoyed relaxing in it. We will definitely be back.
This is our 3rd visit and it is just as special and beautiful as our prior trips. We have already booked our fall trip!1 Can’t say enough good things about the cabin, along with the beautiful river and property. If beauty, peace and serenity is what you are looking for, this property is perfect! Thank you again to our wonderful hosts!
The cabin was probably the best maintained we've stayed in over the years and the acres and acres to hike, roam around with our dog and family were awesome!
The location is remote and very quiet. Very welcome for a holiday - no crowds (unless you want to count a flock of 8-10 wikd turkeys that joined us Thanksgiviing morning)!
Absolutely loooooved this cabin. If you’re looking for silence, quiet and cozy, this one is perfect. Thank you so much for literally the best relaxation vacation ever. Can’t wait to be back!!!!
Absolutely loved my stay here! place felt like a paradise -peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by stunning scenery.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful, tranquil getaway
Beautiful cabin, very clean and well stocked. It's a perfect setting for those that want peace, tranquility and maybe some fishing. Driving into town (Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock) not the most pleasant but the beauty of this cabin well surpassed that.
It was exactly what we were looking for. A cabin in the woods that was away from other people and the noise that comes in the city or surrounding communities. We were able to truly relax, disconnect, and just listen to the sounds of nature all around us. Highly recommend if this is the kind of experience you are looking for.
Absolutely the most private and relaxing stay yet. This was out second visit and it was just as awesome as the first time. Our morning walks down to the river with our dogs were so much fun! The river is crystal clear and we spent a lot of time enjoying it. The cabin is very comfortable with the fireplace and fire pit outside being our favorite night time activity. The hot tub was the perfect way to end one of our big hiking days and nothing can compare to the sound of the babbling brook on the front porch with our morning coffee. We can’t wait to come back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving holiday. We especially enjoyed the large fireplace in the evenings. We’re hoping to return in the summer to explore the surrounding property and nearby hiking trails.
We really enjoyed staying at the Globe Valley Ranch cabin. It was clean and charming and away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The owners were very easy to work with and we would definitely come back.

Thank you for the review. We do hope to see you back at the ranch soon!!
The cabin is wonderful and beautifully furnished. The property is so peaceful with the creek in front of the porch. Enjoyed the trails and the river on the property and the dogs loved exploring. We will definitely visit again.
Globe Valley Ranch was an amazing experience. The cabin was spacious, with all the amenities of home. Hot tub was perfect to relax in after a day of hiking and exploring. Sitting and having a cup of coffee every morning on the porch while listening to the creek was wonderful. Exceptional communication, and we checked-in/checked-out with ease. We look forward to coming back to the ranch soon!
We absolutely loved our stay! Thank you so much! It was so quiet, serene and wonderful place to get away from the busyness of the everyday. We made memories to last a lifetime.
We love to get away from it all. This property allows us to. No cell phones, no traffic, just peace and quite.
