My partner and I stayed at the property for a week and had a great experience. Location is perfect. Owner was great and easily reached if we needed anything.
We enjoyed the location, being close to the canals, shops and restaurants and trams. The host was amazing. He handled questions and requests efficiently and was so much fun to talk to. He was very helpful with directions, phone service and tourist information. He was also a wealth of historical knowledge.
We did not receive the actual address before leaving, only the street.
The accomodations (especially the stairs) were filthy, advertising papers on the landing which were never removed for our entire stay.
We did not receive the room that we booked.
The owner was very nice and helpful of the area.
If you're looking for authentic Amsterdam lodging, not just another generic hotel room, this will be your place. The room is in an authentic, old house in the historic Jordaan section of town. That means: narrow staircases, squeaky floors and low ceilings. It also means you'll have a one-of-a-kind stay to complete your visit. The restaurant on the ground level is convenient and serves delicious and well prepared meals. The included kitchen is great for light cooking and has a fabulous coffee machine waiting for to produce a tasty morning espresso. The location puts you in the middle of everything and is within walking distance to all the "must see" attractions.
Location is great, its in a safe area, not too far from the tram lines and in the canal area where you want to be. Check in was abysmal, the management company is no help, and the owner won't answer texts (but clearly can as after check in he was quick to reply via text). Its a little deceptive. It's not a shared bathroom flat as in a private room with a hall bath. Its a standard 4 room home with shared kitchen and bath. All the amenities are in common space, you just get a room.with bed, desk, and 2 chairs. So its more like living in someones home. I think the owner lived upstairs. Not really a private rental. You have to go up very narrow and steep stairs to get to the second floor rooms. Typically dark at night everything creeks, and its very noisy from the street. Best part was the price compared to anything around it, but you also get less for it. If you want an ok space and dont mind the lack of privacy in the unit then you cant beat the location and price. If that matters, go elsewhere. Additionally the check in instructions youre sent are full of errors The wifi was not what it said it was though the owner was quick to resolve it. Owner isnt bad to deal with and tries to be accomidating.
makes you call.
Host was very responsive when had questions. Walkable to everything, about 30 minutes or less walk to vondlepark, red light district, Anne Frank house, canal cruise, Dam sq
What an awesome Location it’s in my favorite neighborhood called Jordan walking distance to everything in Amsterdam. Very clean spacious room and the washer and dryer Is a plus to have the Host Lot was . He owns a Moroccan restaurant downstair and the food was the best! Overall at 10 out of 10 for me.

Thank you so much, Cristian! We are thrilled to hear that you loved the Jordan neighborhood location, the clean and spacious room, and that the Moroccan restaurant downstairs hit the spot too. A 10 out of 10 means the world to us and we hope to welcome you back to BB 1971 Hazenstraat soon!

Lovely stay!
Easy to find in a quiet street, but such a short walk away from liveliness! Loved having a coffee machine in the kitchen, and a big TV in the bedroom for early-morning chillouts. Fan and big window was lovely to have as the weather was hot. Host was very friendly and helpful.
I mainly visited for Pride and this was a perfect location. Will hopefully visit again, and will look to stay here next time!
