The check in process was flawless, we did not get to the house until 1am. The place was spotless and had everything we needed. It was in a quiet neighborhood and perfect for our needs. I would definitely stay there again. Beautiful house Keith!
We loved staying at the Little Yellow House! Keith was very responsive and helpful. The house was perfect for my husband, son and I. Everything was clean and cozy. It was a great location and easy drive to lots of attractions. There are lots of great restaurants nearby as well. My son loved the basement and found that to be the coolest part as we don't have basements here in Texas. We would definitely love to come back and stay here again!
The house is set up with all necessary items to make you feel at home. We felt very safe in the neighborhood and found it was close to various restaurants and shops. We were in town for a wedding with our adult son, my husband and me. Weather was beautiful so we enjoyed the patio one evening!
As many other reviewers have said, this is a great house. It’s in a quiet leafy green neighborhood with lots of people out walking around. The house itself is equipped with everything we need. I had a couple of questions for Keith and he responded within minutes. We’re very happy with this place and will return again.
Such a wonderful little house! The Mrs and I love a shoeless house and having a washer and dryer was a gift.
Neighborhood is fantastic, but a bit of a walk to the lakes. So, we chose to drive down and park on the street close to the Harriot lake. Keith was responsive to my requests.
This little yellow house is quite special!
My wife and I are traveling on a cross country road trip. It's a bucket list thing. We arranged to rent a property every 4 or 5 days to get a break from the road, do laundry and catch up on the computer obligations. Our stay at the "Little Yellow House" was a joy! It is a property with a lot of character and charm, but still possesses all of the modern amenities you might need. It's title does not do justice to all of the space in the home that makes it welcoming and relaxing. The owners take great care to provide all that you would need. It is a very quiet neighborhood, but has so many great restaurants nearby. We loved the ability to bike on the 51+ miles of bike trails, many of which can be accessed nearby. A very quiet and peaceful neighborhood that is welcoming. Thanks for the great time and accommodations.
I reread my last review for the Little Yellow House and could just say, “ditto” that, but I should put a bit more effort into a new one. One aspect that I failed to mention in my earlier comments was how lovely the Kenny Neighborhood is. Tree-lined streets, tidy homes, lovely plantings —still flowering with bursts of color — joggers, dog-walkers, and folks simply out for a stroll on a sunny, fall day fill the area. The location, too, is convenient for seeing the sights Minneapolis has to offer.
The VRBO itself is completely equipped, especially the kitchen. Mattresses are comfy, sheets silky smooth, and plenty of towels and toiletries make for an enjoyable stay.
We didn’t even use the downstairs or need the television while there. So many other choices like reading peacefully after a full day of sightseeing.
Thanks to the owners for preparing a very clean and comfortable cottage. I suspect that we will return to this sweet nest as we continue our retirement travels.
We have stayed at over 20 rental properties in the last five years, and we both agree that this one was the best equipped of any of them. The owner(s) thought of everything — bags of fresh ice, plenty of utensils of all sorts, fresh towels and enough hooks in the bathroom. (Not enough towel racks and/or hooks is a pet peeve of mine.) Extra rolls of toilet paper were easy to find, and shampoo, creams, and soaps were laid out next to the immaculate sink basin.
The silkiest sheets and most velvety blankets made it a pleasure to climb into bed after a long day of sightseeing and dining. So many good restaurants make choosing difficult. Pizzeria Lola is close by, and Fika at the Swedish Institute is a favorite of ours from past visits. Burgers at the Red Cow, too, aren’t to be missed. A special treat was a stop at Patisserie 46 in St. Paul. Oh, my. Too many sweet choices, but we managed.
Although it was rather hot outside, we did use the handy grill and enjoyed the colorful garden. The bench was a plus.
Although we don’t tend to watch TV when we vacation, a nice large-screen television was available. Wi-Fi was working well.
Street parking close to the side door was readily available. No problem.
Lovely neighborhood. Airplane traffic was persistent but not at a noise level that was really an issue. Of course, we lived a couple of miles from O’Hare for many years.
Thanks for providing a pleasant oasis for our visit.
The yellow house is in a beautiful neighborhood. We walked the tree lined streets many times while visiting the city.
The house is very clean and is equipped with everything you would need. Check in was easy. We would definitely stay there again.
We enjoyed our 3 week stay at The Little Yellow House. It was close to everything we needed/wanted: Lake Harriett, the highway, restaurants, airport, shopping. Keith was very good at communicating with questions and things that came up with the house during our stay. The property is stocked with everything you need during your stay. We would definitely return for our next extended visit with family!
This is our third stay at the LYH in the past 3 years. Needless to say....we are EXTREMELY pleased with the house. It is as well stocked as our own home.....my wife is a chef and is able to find every kitchen gadget that she has at home. All of the electronics and the internet are excellent....I spent many hours on Zoom calls with no problem. We lived in this neighborhood 29 yrs ago , raised our children here. We still know a few neighbors. Now we have photos of our young grandchildren in the house and playing in the yard.
Keith and Shirley respond to inquiries and issues almost immediately and solve the issues just as quickly.
You would be making a WISE decision to book a stay at the Little Yellow House.

good location, nice clean house, great help from owner.
the only suggestion is it would have been nice to have a TV upstairs, we are both senior citizens and the stairs were a chore.
Nice home in a beautiful, quiet and well kept neighbourhood. This home has everything one needs for a comfortable stay, would stay again. I also enjoyed seeing the rabbits and squirrels running around the neighbourhood.

You will love the Little Yellow House!
This house is adorable and the owners have done such a great job of making it feel welcoming. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could need, including plastic baggies, tin foil, and lots of different sized plastic containers for packing lunches. Also they have knives that are sharp which makes food prep so much easier than at most rental places I have stayed that have dull knives at best or some places don't have any! The bed was super comfortable, the house was spotlessly clean, the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, there is plenty of parking. The information booklet was helpful and welcoming. The keyless entry is fabulous. Now I want this for my own house. I loved not stressing about keeping track of a house key! I could not have asked for a better place to stay during my week in Minneapolis. I hope to return to this delightful place again one day!

The Perfect Home for Our Holiday House!
Thank you for a lovely and comfortable home to spend our Minneapolis Holiday. We sold our Kingfield home and came back to Minneapolis to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary and take care of some business, taxes, auto check up, Easter shopping at Krammarczyk's, and visiting with family and friends. Our little 4-year old grandson dubbed this home as our "Holiday House."
... great home, comfortable, welcoming, everything was immaculate, beds comfortable, ... I would stay here again and I would recommend this home to my friends and family traveling to Minneapolis,
