About this property

Barn Conversion in Tranquil Gardens and Farmland

Halamiling Barn is a deeply peaceful, beautiful, place to relax, unwind and socialise with family and friends. Enjoy strolling through the gardens, the three small lakes and farmland. Cook in the superbly well equipped and spacious modern kitchen, enjoy cosy evenings by the fire, and maybe watch a film with the state of the art sound surround system. All interiors are furnished to a very high level of quality and artistic design. It is set in 50 acres of North Cornish farmland.
The Barn has an open plan lounge/kitchen and dining area. The lounge includes 2 extremely comfy sofas, and an extra chair. The TV has a state of the art sound surround system. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. The dining table seats 6. There is also a utility room with washing machine and dryer and a downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and has a window seat with stunning views over the garden and farmland. It has an ensuite bathroom with a large walk in shower. The second bedroom has a double bed and a sofa which can be made into a sofa bed (double) if required. It also has an ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower(in the bath). The Barn can also be rented with the neighbouring Stables which sleeps 2 (see separate listing or do ask) so that 6 people can be accommodated across the 2 properties. There is also in the Farm enclave of buildings a Farmhouse.
The Barn is surrounded by stunning gardens and a water feature, and a short walk away on the property are 3 lakes. There is a small private patio/garden area with a BBQ and seating which is just for the Barn guests. There are also other lovely spots to sit and enjoy the gardens which can be used by guests in the 3 properties.
There is wonderful hiking direct from the Barn. One of our favourites is the walk along the Valency river and valley to Boscastle .. all off road and stunning.
Halamiling Farm is set down a three quarter of a mile farm track leading from the hamlet of Lesnewth. Lesnewth is under 2 miles from the A39. There is private parking at the farm.

Hi I am Liz. I have worked in tourism for 30 years worldwide and Britain. I have worked as a professional tour guide (Blue Badge Guide) for London and the South West of England for 25 years welcoming groups of all ages, countries and backgrounds. I have travelled extensively in my life time and still love to explore places. I am also a dedicated Mum and enjoy supporting my children (2 teenage girls) in their varying needs and directions.

Why they chose this property

We purchased Halamiling Farm last year (2021) after many years of having the vision to run a 'retreat' type holiday place ... retreat as in simply a lovely place to relax and explore, and be surrounded by nature. Halamiling was it! We love it and are truly grateful to be the guardians of this gem.

What makes this property unique

It is as one guest has put it 'somewhat magical' at Halamiling. It particularly suits nature lovers, hikers, explorers, artists, thinkers, and anyone who just loves to be in a beautiful natural and peaceful setting on holiday!
